BOOM!!!!
Thunder Crashed outside, shaking the entirety of your house. You jump out of your once peaceful slumber, startled awake by the thunder.
BOOM!!!!
You hear again, this time is shaking your bones as well. You've always had a fear of thunder, but you weren't really ever sure why. You didn't really care either, it scared you, and that was a good enough answer. You shrink back against your wall, knees to your chest and arms wrapped around your knees. You take deep, steady breaths as you try to calm your shaking nerves.
"It's just thunder... it's just thunder... it's ju-" BOOM!!!! You let out a screech as you close your eyes and cover your ears, tears slowly leaking from your eyes.
You stay in that position for what feels like a lifetime, but happens to be only a few hours. You jerk your head up when you realize your alarm started going off, already striking 6 am.
"Great.. three hours of sleep, and I got to be at the gates in an hour." You say to yourself. "The mission hasn't even started yet and you already feel miserable.
You let out a long sigh, standing up and looking out your window. You still see dark, grey clouds looming over your village, but at least it wasn't raining.
The thunder still continued to boom, but you had no time to worry about that.
You ran to your bathroom, shutting and locking the door as if it would protect you from the noise of the thunder. You turn to the mirror, studying your features and rolling your eyes.
"Great. I don't think I'll have enough room for my bag of clothes with all these BAGS UNDER MY EYES!!" You scream to yourself. You really do look kind of heinous with your dark circles and messy hair.
You brush your hair, then your teeth, then you walk back into your room grabbing your stuff. You realize it's only 6:15 but you figured you could use the quietness by the gate before the others arrive.
You walk out of your house, locking your door behind you, and leisurely begin your walk to the front gates.
You look up at the sky, the clouds still a gloomy dark grey, trickles of sun light shining threw. The sun had just begun rising, so there wasn't too much light outside.
You hum to yourself, as you watch your feet move one right in front of the other. You take a deep breath, thinking about all the possible outcomes of this trip.
You frown to yourself as you think, what if we don't complete it? What if one of us gets hurt? What if we get taken down before we even reach the package? What if we die in the snow, our corpse rotting away, for ever lost?!
You shake your head, pulling yourself out of your suddenly morbid train of thought. "Stop it (y/n), you're just scaring yourself." You said, shaking your head once more as you approach the gate.
"Someone's early." A voice indicated, seemingly coming from the trees.
You jumped a bit, tired of getting startled. You recognized the deep yet smooth tone of that voice, belonging to none other than your Sensei.
"Good morning Kakashi Sensei." You addressed him, glancing up at the trees to see if you could spot him. To no avail, you couldn't.
You felt a swift breeze behind your back, turning around to see what (or whom) had caused it.
You turn around, almost bumping chests... well, more like chest to stomach sense he did tower over you. You jump back a bit, and notice that he took a step closer to you once you did so.
