Dedicated to Dsherman00

Well this is the most awkward situation of my life. Henry is sitting across from my family looking at everywhere except Thomas. He eventually sighed.

"Well, I would have ended up meeting all of you formally anyways, so hey"

He waved and I groaned when Thomas did not respond. "Ryan, Chris, this is my friend from when I was in school. His name is Henry"

Ryan waved and looked him up and down. "Nice to meet you"

Chris was glaring at him without restraint. Henry sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. "Well, that's basically all of your stuff from my place. I included a copy of my keys as well just in case you left anything or need a place to crash"

Thomas tightened his grip once again. "He won't need it"

"Thomas, I'll be right back, I'm going to walk Henry out"

"He knows where the door and elevators are"

I sighed. "Don't be childish Tommy"

He let me go but his glare was as sharp as ever. "Let's go Henry"

He got up and waved at my family before walking out the door. As I walked out the door, I looked back. Thomas was giving me one of those 'I'll deal with you later' looks. It's not like I did anything wrong. Not my fault that Henry happened to show up at my job the same time as them.

Sometimes, things just don't work out in my favor.

"Tough crowd huh?"

I smiled at Henry. "You couldn't pick a worse time to come huh?"

He let out a small laugh. "Sorry dude. But yeah, the real reason I gave you a copy was so you can always have a place to chill out and relax if you and the drill sergeant get into another fight"

I looked at him for a moment before responding. "You really are my best friend huh"

He started to laugh uncontrollably. "It took you long enough to figure that out"

As we neared the elevator, we slowed our pace. "We don't hang out much anymore..."

I nodded in agreement. "We should change that. Maybe we can go clubbing one day"

My eyes sparkled as I looked up at him. "You're completely right. Clubbing seems like an amazing idea. I'll be the first to pick out a club"

He looked at me cautiously. "You're up to something....."

I smirked and pressed the elevator button. "I have no idea what you are talking about Henry"

He shook his head and looked down at me. "Well, it's time for me to make my exit. Make sure you at least contact me later"

I nodded. "I'll try. Tonight is going to be a bit....challenging. An explanation will be given at a late time. Anyways, bye Henry"

Henry pulled me in for a hug then let me go. "See ya soon"

He got on the elevator and waved until the doors closed. I smiled to myself as I walked back to my office. Some of the employees gave me off looks, but none vocalized their opinions. At least they learned to keep their mouth shut.

I walked back to the room to see Thomas texting on his phone. Probably telling his Dom friends about the dinner. I sat back down on his lap and waited for him to finish. He sighed and put his phone down.

"Well, your lunch break is almost over"

He gently took me off his lap. "Boys, wait for me by the elevator. Don't cause any trouble"

They nodded and hugged me before leaving. I kissed their foreheads any then they walked out.

Thomas leaned on my desk and folded his arms over his chest. "Give me the key"

I sighed. "Why should I?"

He raised an eyebrow and had a stern look on his face. "Why not?"

Seems like we will be getting into this now. "I already promised you I'll stop running away. Trust me enough to have the key. I'm not gonna leave you for anybody"

His facial expression softened, but he still had a grim look on his face. "If you aren't going to runaway anymore, why do you need it?"

"Just in case anything is ever wrong with him. He is my closest friend and the only one besides you that I can call a best-friend. Please Tommy, I need you to be on my side today"

He sighed and opened his arms. I gladly ran into them and he pulled me tight to his body.

"You are mine, understand?"

I smiled and inhaled his scent a bit. "Of course. And you are mine"

His lips softly pressed against my temple. "I wouldn't want it any other way baby"

"I love you so much Thomas"

"I love you too Maxwell. More than you can imagine"

Just like that, we stayed in each other's embrace for a few more minutes until a knock on the door broke us out of the trance. When I'm around him, I really forget about time. He makes the world disappear, but at the same time, he is my world.

"Sir, your meeting is about to start"

"I'm coming, give me two minutes"

"Understood sir"

I leaned my head on Thomas' chest again and listed to his heart beat. For some reason, I actually believed it matched my own. Gosh I'm whipped.

"We should get going"

I whined and Thomas laughed, making his chest rumble. He swiped his thumb against my cheek and smiled down at me.

"I should really get going"

I nodded sadly and got out of his embrace.

knock knock knock

"Sir, you really have to come to the meeting, it can't start until you arrive"

I sighed. "I'm coming"

Thomas leaned down and gave me one last kiss. "Is there anything I need to pick up for the dinner?"

"Yeah hold on a second"

I hurriedly got out a piece of paper and pen ans started to jot down everything I need. Once I finished, I handed it to him and he smiled.

"Seems like the boys will have to help me with this list"

I chuckled. "Thank you Thomas"

He smiled. "Anything for you babe"
