chapter twelve - "replaced"

I STARTED THINKING BACK to freshman year when i dated matt. dating for two years, he was my first boyfriend.

he was someone i fell hard for when i was trying to get over ethan, and i did during the period of time we dated.

ethan rarely almost never crossed my mind.

midway, close to the end of sophomore year he cheated which led to us never speaking disregarding matts attempts to reconcile.

clearly she put on a facade in front of me and my friends, acting like she cared about me and was actually my friend.

after a few months he moved away which i was greatly thankful for.

as for natalia, she still went to our high school she cut off all ties with us, and became friends with other people.

we never really saw her around school, maybe once or twice, but we never took a second glance towards her.

i was deep in thought not paying attention to my surroundings until i felt someone wave their hands in my face.

"serina?" i looked up to see the group giving me concerned stares at my quietness.

"you okay?" grayson spoke again looking at me once the others went back to their own conversation.

i nod with a smile. i had these amazing group of friends that cared about me as much as i cared about them.

the past is long gone, the present is what matters now.

"let's get to class." emma says to all of us, i nod putting the things i didn't need into my locker, by now the others walking to their own classes.

"e! wait up!" i called out catching up to him, walking beside him.

the bell had just rung, as we walked towards the next class we had together.

"what's up?" he says with a slight smile.

"you still down for tonight? just us two?" i asked hopeful.

"oh right, yeah im down." ethan says heading into class clearly distracted with his phone.

i nodded sitting next to him keeping quiet for the rest of the period, since he was occupied by his phone the whole time.

after school i went home quickly excited to have our usual friday night with ethan.

we hadn't been alone together for a long while and it would be a good idea to catch up.

i showered, and put on a pair of comfy clothes getting food and everything else ready for the two of us.

turning on netflix i scrolled through the many categories looking for something to watch, finally settling on a random show the both of us watch together.
