chapter twenty three - "goodnight n go"

THE SUN SEEPED THROUGH the window in front of us.

my head laid on ethan's chest, rising up and down from his short breaths.

light snores emerged from his mouth becoming louder every few seconds.

a smile made its way up to my face as i admired him, drool shined from the corner of his mouth, his lips slightly parted.

"ethan." i whispered.

i ran my fingers through his hair, caressing it lightly to get him to wake up.

a mere few seconds later his mouth curved up into a smile. he opened his eyes, immediately landing on me.

"i could get used to this." he says.

i melted at the thought, his voice deeper as he spoke with his morning voice.

"you know we have school right?" i say with a laugh leaning up on my elbows.

"don't remind me." he groans shoving his face into the pillow.

"let's ditch today, hm?" he says grabbing my body and pulling me on top of him.

his warmth embraced me, the furry blanket laying on top of us.

"ethan we've ditched so many times the past few months. we're gonna get in trouble." i say laughing, shoving him slightly.

he leaned his head up to look at me, his face coming closer to mine.

i backed away with a weirded out face plastered on me. "gross morning breath!"

i rested my head onto his chest again, my head moving along it as he laughed, the vibration going against the side of my face.

facing the window, it was finally the end of november just a few days away from december.

this past school it hasn't been all that chilly this fall until this past week.

snow finally began to fall from the clouds, the sky grey and cloudy.

"guys look at all the snow!" we heard grayson yell from the room across from us.

quickly i let go of ethan running up towards the large window, his heavy footsteps following behind me.

snow fell from the sky harshly, the ground and houses around us coated white.

"wow." i say mesmerized.

no matter how many times ive experienced it, i could never begin to express how beautiful it was.

ethan came up behind me his hands resting around my body, his head on my shoulder.

"oh we're definitely skipping school today." i say excitedly.

i escape his grip once again going to freshen up quickly whilst calling emma to skip with us, ethan laughs going into a separate bathroom doing the same.
