chapter sixteen - "welcome to the party"

I DRANK MY USUAL iced coffee by my locker waiting on hailey and emma to get here.

i left class a few minutes earlier, since the teacher wasn't teaching anything new, the bell was supposed to ring soon anyways.

once it did, people filed out of classrooms quickly to get home. fridays always had the most rush after school.

waiting around i felt a tap on my shoulder. turning around im met with nolan.

"hey serina." he says with the gorgeous smile smile he always had on.

"hey! how you been?" i asked.

"good good, ive been wanting to ask, are you coming to the party tonight?" he says leaning against my locker.

"hm i don't know." i say teasing him.

"i mean if you are, i could pick you up?" he ran a hand through his soft brown hair moving a few strands that had fallen out of his face.

i bit my lip nodding. "sure."

"i'll see you ton-"

"hey serina!" ethan says loudly eyeing nolan, wrapping an arm around my shoulder.

grayson comes up behind him rolling his eyes at ethan.

i look at ethan weirdly shoving his arm off me.

"you will." i say with a nod towards nolan.

"grayson." nolan nods towards him with a smile.

"...ethan." he looks at ethan briefly clearly uncomfortable from ethan's stare before walking away from us.

once nolan left emma and hailey appeared. "ready to go?" hailey gestures towards me.

i nod adjusting my bags strap on my shoulder.

"so we'll pick you three up tonight?" ethan says with a nod.

"ye-" hailey says but cut off mid way by me.

"actually, im going with nolan." i say quickly looking at grayson, to see he was stifling a laugh at ethan's facial expression.

"let's go." i say to emma and hailey before ethan could say anything.

"bye baby!" hailey yells as we walk off.

"literally what does she see in him." i cross my arms watching them walk off in the distance.

grayson snorts shoving me. "when are you gonna drop this." he sighs walking ahead.

"hey!" i yell throwing my arms up.

"i just think he's a douche." i mutter.

"you think any guy that talks to serina is a douche!" grayson says walking off.
