I TOOK IN MY SURROUNDINGS realizing we were now on a rooftop and that i had been tricked.

fuck you grayson, i thought. my eyes travelled to ethan. he looked so damn good, i felt like i couldn't speak.

his hair looked freshly cut and nicely put together, but just messy enough.

he wore a black long sleeved shirt, the sleeves of the shirt rolled up just a bit. along with black jeans and white shoes.

he always looked good, but today he looked more breathtaking than usual. especially since i haven't given him a glance in a few days.

he turned his head to look down on my stretching out his hand in front of me for me to take.

"come." he spoke out softly after the long silence between us.

hesitant for a few seconds i looked at him. "just trust me." he whispers. agreeing i place my hand onto his.

a smile slowly grew onto his face as he intertwines our fingers together.

he walks leading us towards a table i hadn't noticed from afar.

a table was set with plates and my favourite food in it.

ethan gets behind me pulling the chair out for me.

i felt my nerves kick in when i sat down, i didn't know what he was about to say.

i didn't know what would happen if he didn't feel the same way, would i still be able to be around him knowing he doesn't like me like that?

"it's so beautiful out." i speak out once he sits down in front of me, i look away from him admiring the sky.

it was a nice purplish pink, the sunset was gorgeous. i lived for nights like these.

i turned to turn back to look at ethan, seeing him his eyes were already on me with a smile on his face.

"did you make this?" i said eyeing the dinner that was set in front of me.

"yes." he says proudly.

i look at him, skeptic, cocking up my eyebrow.

he rolls his eyes, speaking again. "okay fine i got a little help from gray."

i laugh out, finally eating the food.

"its good i like it." i say with a genuine smile.

we ate silently, it felt awkward and unnatural which was unusual for us.

"hey-"

"-listen"

we both say at the same time laughing soon after a long silence.

"im sorry." i spoke out again standing up.

"for what?" he says following behind me.
