I wake up on Monday with someone pounding on my door.

"What the hell do you want?" I moan, pulling the pillow over my head.

"Time to get up," Adrian's voice says through the door.

"Go fuck yourself!" I yell, pulling the covers closer to my body.

The door opens and all of a sudden, I am freezing. Looking up, Adrian is standing over me, frowning.

"We have school today," he says.

"I said go fuck yourself," I spit.

Adrian groans through his clenched teeth. "Please! I am trying to be nice!"

I sit up and move past him, pulling down the bottom of my black shorts.

"I never asked you to be nice. And I never asked you to be here. Now, leave," I snap, pointing toward the door.

Listening to me for once, Adrian leaves, shutting the door behind him.

I swear under my breath, and get ready.

                                                                                                    ****

When I walk down the stairs in jeans, a red sweatshirt, and my Converse, Adrian smiles at me.

"What are you smiling at me for?" I ask, biting the inside of my cheek.

"Because you look nice," he says.

God damn him. Can I just kick his ass? I need to kick his fucking ass.

A knock stops me from going on a long rant about him leaving me alone.

Adrian answers the door, while I grab my book bag and purse.

When I walk in the room, Adrian is holding his jaw, glaring at Kyle.

"What the fuck happened?" I ask, Adrian.

"Your ass boyfriend just punched me!" He yells, giving Kyle more dirty looks.

I guess Kyle is my boyfriend. It feels weird to hear that.

"Adrian! Don't you DARE think about fighting with my boyfriend! I will kick your sorry ass out the door, I don't care what the hell Dad says," I warn, meaning every single word.

He gives one more look at Kyle, who is staring right back, and walks away.

Kyle shakes his head and sighs. "Sorry, I just had to. You look beautiful."

I give him a peck on the cheek and smile. "It's okay, I was going to do it sooner or later. And thanks."

I follow Kyle out the door to see Adrian is leaning against my car.

"Get. Off. My. Car," I snap, my anger at a uncontrollable level.

"We aren't taking your car to school. We won't fit," he says, giving me a stupid grin.

"Then the one that doesn't belong here should leave. And that's you," Kyle speaks up, at my side.

"Calm down Big Boy. This is between me and Hailys," Adrian says, using that stupid nickname.

"You aren't riding with us. You aren't going to call me that anymore. And you aren't going to talk to me or Kyle. Got it? Good," I spit.

Adrian smirks, shaking his head. "You were always a firecracker." He moves away from the door. "See you at school."

Can God just kill him now?
