"I'm going to get some punch," I tell Kyle over the sound of the loud music. He nods, letting go of my waist.

My feet are killing me. We have been dancing for a half an hour. Dancing in heels isn't as easy as it seems.

As I reach the tables, I feel someone grab my wrist. Turning, I see Christy- or someone that looks like Christy.

"Follow me," she hisses, dragging me away from people.

"What the hell?" I demand when she stops us in an empty hallway.

"You didn't listen to my warning," she tells me, pursing her bright red lips.

I scoff. "It wasn't much of a warning, more of a Stay-Away-From-My-Ex-Or-You're-Dead kinda thing." She rolls her eyes at me.

"Why did you sleep with Zach?"

What?

"How the fucking hell do you know about that?" The words come out of my mouth faster than anything I have ever spoke before.

She smirks. "I didn't, but you just confirmed my guess."

Fuck.

"What do you even want?" I change the subject.

"I want Kyle, that's what I want bitch," Christy snaps. "And you're the only thing standing in my way."

I roll my eyes, crossing my arms over my chest. "Sweetheart, he has no feelings for you. None. So might as well give it up now."

She stomps her foot like a two year old. "Yes he does! Before you came to this stupid school, I almost had him back."

"Oh my god," I snap. "He loves me and I love him. There is nothing you could possibly do to change that." She smirks.

"I could just tell him that you slept with his best friend," her words make my heart fall.

"It's not even what you think so shut the hell up," I hiss. She smiles even wider.

"Bitch, we both know I could go back down there and scream that you slept with Zach. I wouldn't give shit about what you would do."

I know she is right. She knows she is right.

"Why the hell are you doing this? Why do you even care about Kyle?" I snap.

"Because, Kyle and I were in love. I did something really stupid and messed everything up. I want a second chance."

"Well, maybe I want a second chance too," I snap. "Maybe I actually need this chance more than anything."

She laughs. "Then maybe you are just screwed."

My stomach rolls.

Don't punch her. Don't punch. Walk away. Now.

"You are a bitch, Christy. I hope you burn in hell," the words come out strong. She almost looks scared.

"I hope you enjoy watching Kyle and I together. I'm sure jealousy feels almost as strong as regret," her voice sings with stupid happiness.

"Only you would know that," I spit, walking away.

She is going to ruin everything. Kyle is going to dump me.

Fuck.

Why didn't I just tell him when I had the chance?

Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.

"Hailey!" Someone yells. Turning around, I see Zach racing towards me.

Can this get any worse?

"Zach, you are the last person I need to talk to at the moment. Please go away," I whine as he reaches me. His eyes soften.

"I just want you to know, I am so sorry. I don't know why I did what I did. I was stupid and a total jackass," he explains.

I swallow. "It doesn't matter now. Everything is ruined."

I turn to head back into the gym, but Zach grabs my arm.

"What do you mean?" I purse my lips, getting annoyed with him.

"It doesn't matter. I have to go back to Kyle," I tell him before storming off.

I find Kyle quickly, standing with Megan and Danny.

"Hey, where did you go?" Kyle asks, wrapping an arm around my waist. "I went to to punch table, but you weren't there."

I blush feeling Megan's eyes on me.

"I had to go to the bathroom," I lie.

Before Kyle can respond, someone taps a microphone.

"Time to see who is on the Royal Court," a teacher says.

The crowd cheers, but all I want to do is cry.

Authors note-

I had really difficulty writing this last update. It was kinda emotional.

Payback can be a bitch.

I feel soo bad for Hailey!! She just found someone she actually feels something for and Christy is going to ruin it.

Maybe 5 votes?!!?

Love you!!
