It was early morning and Michelle was being driven over to the Morris household by her best friend Natalie. She gazed out the window at people walking along the pavement, whilst allowing the soft and gentle morning breeze to hit her delicate skin. She had been working as the nanny to Stephanie for a week now, and although she was grateful for the opportunity, she couldn't help but feel that there were high tensions, normally between Mr Morris and his son.

"So how are things going so far, Michelle?" Natalie asked, gripping onto her steering wheel before turning her head to glance over at her.

Michelle diverted her gaze from the outside and smiled before speaking up. "Things are going great and Steph is a joy to look after so it makes my job a lot easier" she announced, clasping her hands together. "I'm just so grateful to Mr Morris for giving me the job, without him I wouldn't have been able to pay of my rent" she said, thinking back to how Mr Morris had approached her to offer her the job a week ago.

"And what about his wife, and his son... what did you say his name was again?" Natalie questioned, whilst scrunching up her face bewilderingly.

"Jay..." Michelle answered, sighing deeply afterwards. "He's never said a word to me, I don't really think he likes me that much, and Mrs Morris is a really hard-working woman... I don't think things are so good with her and Mr Morris but its really not my place to say" she said, before quickly shrugging it off.

Although she had only been working at the Morris mansion for a week, she had managed to pick up certain things, such as how Mrs Morris would leave to go to work early everyday before Mr Morris, and the disturbing and uncomfortable tension between Mr Morris and Jay. It was something that she couldn't ignore, but it wasn't her place to speak as she was nothing more than the nanny to their five year old daughter. After all, that was what she was hired for in the first place so why couldn't it had just remained that way.

~A while later.

Michelle quickly said goodbye to Natalie, and watched as she drove off down the street, before turning back around to see Mrs Morris's car driving out of the gate. She honked the car signalling for her to come over, and she quickly did as told without any hesitation.

"Thank you for being so early Michelle, I'm heading of to work now, so you can go on ahead inside, the front door is open" she stated, rolling her car windows back up and driving off.

Michelle watched as she drove away, before taking a deep breath and pulling her blouse down. She pushed her long braids away from her face, before stepping inside the compound and shutting the gate behind her. She was always in awe and astonishment whenever she stepped foot at the mansion, and even though it had only been a week, she still couldn't believe she got to come here five days a week. Glancing around the compound once again, she slowly headed towards the front door, before pushing it open to see Mr Morris sitting on the living room sofa as he watched Stephanie colour in her colouring book.

He was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't notice her slowly close the door behind her. She often admired the way he carried himself, not just as a CEO of a million dollar company, but also as a man. She didn't know much about him, and she thought that she didn't need to as much as he was her boss, but when she caught him staring of into space during the day, she often wondered what went on in his mind. What could a man who had a beautiful wife, a huge mansion and all the money in the world possibly have to worry about?, she thought. He was like a closed book, the type of book that only allowed you to judge based on what was on the cover and not what was inside.

"Michelle!" Stephanie beamed, getting up from the floor to rush over to her, which caused David to quickly snap out of his thoughts and turn his attention over to her.
