It was a breezy and quiet night in Oakland, and Jay was sited outside his favourite bar in his car, whilst blowing onto his cigarette. He watched as people went inside and exited out for what seemed like forever, also deep in his thoughts.

After a short while, he heard his phone ringing and he quickly glanced down at the Caller Id to see Alexandra ringing. Not in the mood to talk to her, he briefly declined the call before stepping out of his car and shutting the door from behind him. He ignored the stares he got from people walking by, before strolling towards the direction of the bar entrance with his cigarette pressed between his lips. As he walked through the doors of the entrance, he glanced around to see that there weren't that many people as they usually were. The atmosphere of the bar wasn't as upbeat and lively as it normally was which left him with a relieved inside.

He was about to head over to the counter to order a drink till he spotted Michelle sitting alone at a small booth from across the bar. He hadn't seen her since he rapidly left her and Stephanie alone in the mansion a couple days before, and hadn't gone back to prevent seeing her again. Yes he was avoiding her but could you really blame him?. This woman who was supposed to just be his little sister's nanny, was making him suddenly feet things that he had only ever felt with Alexandra. Yes, he called her a woman because that's exactly what she was, she was no little girl that's for sure. She wasn't the type of girl he went for, she wasn't the type of girl to initially catch his attention and get him to hold onto it, but he simply couldn't get her out of his mind. He had to be in some sort of trance, because there was no way he was accepting what he had been dreading, which was his confusing yet un-explainable crush on her.

He continued watching her as she wrote down something in her diary, whilst ignoring everything around him. The scary thing is that he knew he could stand there and watch her for the rest of the night without any regrets.

Seconds later, he noticed a tall African American guy slowly approaching her, and he stood firmly with his jaws clenching. By the way he sat closely to her, he figured that he was already asking for her number, which caused him to roll his eyes away. He watched as Michelle slowly shook her head before uncomfortably shifting away from him slightly, but that didn't stop him from being persistent and asking again.

Not being able to watch the scene anymore, Jay slowly removed his cigarette from his lips and tossed it inside the trashcan beside the door, before going to walk over to them.

"Dude, she said no" he said sternly, before removing his hoodie from his head as Michelle quickly shot her head up to look at him in shock.

The guy slowly stood up from his seat and came face to face to Jay as several people in the bar stopped what they were doing to look over in their direction. "And who the fuck are you white boy?" the guy asked aggressively, whilst brushing him off on his arm. "Is there a problem, 'dude'?" he mocked as a couple guys from another booth began to laugh, which he assumed to be his friends.

Jay glanced down at Michelle, as she gazed back at him pleadingly for him not to do anything too drastic, before turning his attention back to the guy. "Listen, I don't wanna embarrass you so just leave her alone and walk back over to where you came from" he whispered quietly so Michelle couldn't hear.

The guy scoffed to himself about to throw a punch in his face, but before he could, Jay quickly caught hold of it, and twisted it to the side, causing him to groan quietly in pain. "I won't ask you again, walk back to wherever you came from and leave her alone, don't even look at her for the rest of the night" he whispered threateningly before slowly releasing his hand from his tight grip. Surprised by the strength he possessed, the guy quickly walked away back over to his booth without saying a single word.
