Alexandra.
"Alex... what are you doing here?" Jay questioned in shock, whilst gazing directly at her. Despite the fact that they were outside filled with people walking past, silence was the only thing that seemed occurred around them, and it couldn't have been a more awkward and uncomfortable moment.
Taking a large gulp, Jay turned his head back to Michelle who stood frozen to the ground with a pale expression at the sight of Alexandra. She shifted her eyes back to Jay before turning around to quickly walk away. "Michelle, wait" Jay called, going to go after her, but she rapidly picked up her pace and ran further on without looking back. "Shit!" he cursed running his fingers through his hair as he watched her run down the street. Maybe he shouldn't have said all that to her, maybe it just wasn't the right time too, and right then he feared that he had just completely ruined everything between them, all because he let his anger get in the way yet again.
Seconds later, he slipped his hands inside his pockets, before slowly turning around to face Alexandra. Sighing to himself, he took a seat on a nearby bench, and she joined him not too long later.
"I thought you said you were going back to London... what are you doing here?" he asked quietly, pushing his head back to glance up at the blue sky, but the only thing he could think about was Michelle and the sight of her running away from him. That broke his heart in more ways than he could imagine, but he only had himself to blame for it.
Alexandra paused for a brief while to recollect what had just happened earlier in her head before speaking up. "I tried calling you but you weren't answering, so I called your mom and she told me where you were... I was just about to come over to the mansion" she explained causing him to sigh to himself.
As heavy and deafening silence grew between them, he slowly rotated his head to Alexandra to see her looking back at him many different emotions evident in her eyes. She looked as if she wanted a lot to say and had a lot of questions to ask but the words just couldn't come out. She had always thought Jay would always love her and her only, despite her leaving him a year ago, but that didn't seem to be the case. How could a guy who was so scared to open his heart out to anyone possibly love again after suffering a devastating heartbreak... who was this girl that was easily able to tap into inner parts of his mind that she hadn't been able to? she thought, until it finally hit her.
"That girl... isn't that Stephanie's nanny?, I met her the other day" she muttered quietly as Jay remained silence leaving her with a cold and bitter feeling in her chest. "That was a joke, right?... all what you said to her was a joke, wasn't it?" she questioned, gazing deeply at him, hoping to find the answer she was looking for, but as desperately as she searched the look in his eyes proved that he was dead serious and it wasn't a joke. She had never seen such a serious look in his eyes before and it scared her.
"Why would I joke about how I feel?" he hissed impatiently, turning his head to gaze back at the direction Michelle had ran of in.
"How you feel?" Alexandra scoffed, shifting closer to him. "She's your little sister's nanny, your parents would be furious if you started to date her. Beside you've only known her for like what? two months and you think you're in love?" she said, placing her hand on her forehead. "I thought that we were gonna give things between us another shot do you want me to say I'm sorry for how things ended with us again so you would snap out of whatever you're feeling?".
"Just stop it, Alex" Jay groaned, cutting her off before she could say another word. "I'm not using her to forget about you if that's what you're implying, and I know she's just the nanny but that isn't gonna stop me from-
