Hours later, the Morris family and Michelle were driving over to their holiday Hawaii mansion. Unlike the jet ride, the car was unbelievably quiet. It was as if everybody had something to say but couldn't because they could almost sense the tension brewing from David and Jay. They hadn't said a single word to each other but from the quick glances they give each other from time to time, you could almost tell something was up. It was very uncomfortable and awkward. There should never have been this much hostility between a Father and son, but it was only bound to get worse due to the same feelings they shared towards her.
David glanced over at Kim who sat beside him before looking up at the mirror to see Stephanie sitting closely beside Michelle as Jay rested the side of his head on the window, whilst watching them both discretely. It was very obvious that both Father and son hadn't stopped looking at her this entire journey, and it truly was a mystery how Kim had failed to even notice. Her husband and son were both falling for her daughter's nanny, but she was too busy in her own little world to realise. But I guess if she ever found out it would cause an uproar, because even though her and David were in an unhappy marriage, he was still her husband no matter what.
"And that is the mountain my Daddy always takes me on whenever we come here" Stephanie whispered, giving Michelle a brief tour as they drove down the street.
"Its beautiful" Michelle gasped in awe at the beautiful surroundings around her, before diving into her handbag to pull out a pack of gum. "You want one?" she asked, causing Stephanie to nod her head rapidly. She chuckled and placed the gum in her hand before looking over at Jay who continued to gaze at her. It was almost as if he made no effort to look away. Michelle smiled her usual heart-fluttering smile before leaning slightly over to place a gum in his hand. "You're welcome" she mouthed before turning her attention back to Stephanie.
Jay stared down at the gum in his hand before slowly putting it in his mouth and looking up to see David staring at him from the front car mirror. The two gaped at each other for a couple seconds, before diverting their eyes away, just like they had been doing the entire journey.
A while later, they arrived at the holiday mansion. As they stepped out of the car, Michelle couldn't help but look around in complete amazement. She gaped up at the mansion that set beyond the sidewalk, towering over her. It wasn't as big as their one in Oakland, but it was still very beautiful. The cream coating of the paint shined as the sun beat down on it, causing her to squint a little. Uniquely twisted fencing kept the house enclosed, neatly trimmed hedges also surrounded the house. She then stopped to look back at their massive private beach with glistening golden caramel sand and clear blue water. She had always dreamed of going to a place as luxurious as this and now that she was finally there, it took all the strength in her not to be completely overwhelmed. You would've never witnessed a sight as stunning as this back in Indiana, never in a million years.
"Gorgeous right, we bought the place the month after Steph was born. Only cost us $2 million, not that much" Kim spoke up, grabbing hold of her daughter's hand before walking towards the mansion as David and Jay unpacked the luggage from the car.
"Not that much?" Michelle sighed in disbelief before turning around to continuing gazing around the place as David and Jay watched on, eyeing her every move. It was almost as if she was then an exquisite statue placed in a fancy museum.
"Oh you don't have to do that, David" said Michele, going to grab hold of her luggage from David, who wheeled it towards the mansion along with the others
"No, I insist" he chuckled gazing down at her and Jay couldn't help but roll his eyes as he followed in from behind.
The inside of the mansion was even more beautiful and extravagant than the outside. The windows had royal blue curtains hanging on the other side of them, drawn so that the sunlight could stream through. But even though they were now in a new setting, the tension in the room still remained the same. Jay placed the luggage's on the ground as he turned to look around the house. He stopped coming here with his family since he was 16, and couldn't believe that it took one girl for him to return. The fact that Michelle was there with them, made him change his whole perspective on the trip, after all she was the reason why he came in the first place. It scared him a whole lot just how attached he was getting to her, but yet he still knew he had to have her. Every girl that he's ever wanted in his life, he's gotten, but this time it knew it certainly wasn't going to be easy.
