It was around 7 pm on a Saturday evening, and Michelle and Natalie were sited, driving around in her car.
Michelle gaped out the window as the stars began to appear in the sky, before closing her eyes to enjoy the gently breeze blowing her way, whilst sticking her arm out the window. Natalie turned her head to glance at her and smiled before reaching over to turn on the radio to one of her favourite channels causing her to smile. Michelle was a lot different than most young 22 year old's. She was old-fashioned and would usually do things like listen to the radio each day rather than watching TV, and Natalie knew it.
After a while, they pulled up in front of a big, dark alleyway where two guys were stood guarding a door to a building with a lot of noise. Michelle looked around at some of the cars, dirt bikes and motorcycles parked all over the street before scrunching up her face and turning to look at Natalie, who quickly turned of the radio and unbuckled her seat belt.
"Girl, where is the place?" Michelle asked, looking back out the window.
"Oh it's just one of those secret underground fight club places" she explained, like it was no bog deal. "I heard that my ex boyfriend was fighting here tonight with some guy that apparently hardly loses so I came to watch him embarrass himself, you know how he cheated on me multiple times and stole a lot of money from me" she groaned, rolling her eyes away, before pushing open the door to the driver's seat as Michelle stared at her lost for words.
"Wait a minute, aren't these type of places illegal?" she questioned arching a brow at her as Natalie laughed before nodding her head. "Nat, we can't be here. What if the cops show up or something, and I've heard these types of places are really dangerous-
"Michelle you sound just like my mom who tries to still parent me even though she's in jail. Look I just wanna see my ex get his ass handed out to him and then we can leave right away. Beside, I'm coming to your church service with you tomorrow so the least you could do is come with me tonight... also we've never been to a place like this before so its kinda exciting, don't you think?" she smirked, before stepping out of the car as Michelle followed along.
"Well... alright, but if anything happens don't say I didn't warn you, girl" she smiled as Natalie slowly made her way over to her.
The two friends linked their arms together as they slowly walked into the alleyway and over to the door where the two guys were stood guarding. Michelle watched as Natalie brought out her purse to hand them a couple dollars, causing them to open the door for them. As they stepped inside, they spotted a crowd of people circled around the place, cheering at something which seemed to be happening in the middle. The air was filled with the smell of strong alcohol and weed and the and the atmosphere was rowdy and almost chaotic. As they dodged past some people to get a look at what was happening in the middle, Michelle started to feel a little uneasy and uncomfortable at the stares she was getting from the men, but she could do anything but just brush of their looks, in hopes that they would look away anytime soon. On most Saturday nights, she was used to going to church or simply staying in her apartment, but this was a whole new experience for her.
As the roars from the crowd became louder, Michelle gripped onto Natalie's hand, before looking ahead at the middle to see Natalie's ex; Logan, stumbling back a little with some blood dripping down to the side. Seconds later, she narrowed her eyes over to see Jay clenching his knuckled, whilst wiping away the blood stain from his lips, and her mouth instantly hung low.
"Wait a minute, is that Jay?" Natalie questioned in shock, as Michelle started to remember what he had told her a month ago about him fighting at an illegal fight club since he was 15.
As Jay finished wiping the blood from his mouth, he quickly removed his vest and to the side, and Michelle couldn't help but slowly divert her eyes down to his body.
