Michelle pulled her bicycle up in front of the Morris mansion before getting of and looking around the place. She removed her jacket and tied it around the waist before walking over to the gate. Since she had been working there for a month, David had given her a key to the mansion. She stepped inside the gate with her bicycle before placing it to the side and going to walk over to the front door.

She was about to unlock the front door, but stopped, realising that it was already open. Slowly stepping inside the mansion, she glanced into the living room to see Mrs Morris sitting on the sofa with a glass of wine in one hand and a cigarette in the other. Even though she was sited far away, Michelle could easily spot the sorrow and grief in her eyes clearly as if she was speaking her thoughts and her emotions aloud. There was an aura of grey around her, a mist that wouldn't rise and a state of depression she couldn't see herself through. It was as if a giant boulder was laid up on her and she couldn't straighten up or catch her breath entirely.

Michelle often wondered what her marriage really was like with Mr Morris. Seeing as they were rarely ever in the same room as each other due to work, she hardly saw them interact or do things married couples do in the one month that she had been working as the nanny. It wasn't her business to interfere with their marriage, but she couldn't help but want to know what went on when she left to go home for the day. She was sure they loved each other or they wouldn't still be married, but there were a lot of things that still left her feeling bewildered.

Several seconds later, Kim turned her head over to the door, to see Michelle. Sighing to herself, she placed her wine glass down on the table before grabbing her car keys and strolling over to her, with her heels clicking on the ground along the way.

"How long have you been standing there?" Kim questioned, eyeing her closely from head to toe, before taking a whiff of her cigarette and blowing the smoke into the air.

As revolting as she found smoking, Michelle tried her hardest not to react to the cigarette smoke hitting her face. "Uhm I just came in now ma'am, I'm sorry for not speaking up sooner" she apologised bowing her head a little at her.

"Next time do make sure to speak up" Kim uttered glancing down at her before going to grab her handbag. "Stephanie is feeling a little sick today, so make sure to bring her food up to her room and give her whatever she asks for. Also my Husband is up in his study room, he's going to be extremely busy today so if you need anything from him make sure to knock first, is that understood?" she questioned, walking straight past her to get to the door.

"Yes ma'am" Michelle answered, whilst placing her hands behind her back.

As Kim shut the door behind her, she breathed out a deep sigh of relief, before tying her dreadlocks into a low ponytail and placing her handbag to the side. She looked around the living room once more, before strolling towards the kitchen to make Stephanie some breakfast. She loved coming to this beautiful mansion for five days a week, but lately it felt as if it was growing more and more quiet by each day. It was almost deserted as the two people who owned the house were hardly ever home, due to work, along with their son who showed up whenever he wanted to.

After she finished making the breakfast a while later, she placed it on a tray, along with some of her other favourite treats before heading up the flight of stairs. As she reached the long hallway, she glanced over at David's study room while pressing her back against the wall. Even though she had only known him and his family for a month, she had never met anyone near as hard-working as he was. Not only did he work hard in his million dollar company, but he was also extremely kind to her, which was a rare trait for rich men to have. He treated her like she was indeed a member of this family, and made her feel welcome after she had felt so left out in everything all her life.
