The following morning, David and Michelle laid on Michelle's living room sofa, where they had fallen asleep several hours ago. They awoke shortly later as the sun's welcoming rays began to peek over the houses from across the street.

She laid beside him wrapping her arms around her torso, with the warmth of her body caressing his skin. They could've laid there for another several hours if they could. Her legs bent and separated over his as they gazed into each other's eyes not saying a word. He lifted his hand up to brush her dreadlocks out her face, and ran his large hands down her cheek, making sure to brush his thumb along her soft, full lips along the way. After everything that had went down last night, they wanted to remain like that for a little while longer just in case they never got a chance to again. David had no intentions of continuing his marriage with Kim, but it didn't mean that it would be particularly easy to start acting on his love towards Michelle. This girl was truly a gem and he didn't think he deserved someone as special as her.

Michelle slowly and gently placed her hand on top of David's chest, and he wasted no time clinging onto it. He brought her hand closer to his lips and placed a kiss on it, whilst looking her dead in the eye. He hadn't told her he loved her yet but he hoped that his actions would let her know just how much he did.

She gazed back up into his eyes for a brief moment, before sighing to herself and pushing herself up to gaze out her window. Michelle had always been a very religious person, and the fact that she was still allowing herself to latch onto a still married man like that made her have some slight regrets. What's worse was that she felt the exact same way about his son, and she knew that letting go wouldn't be easy, but she had to try. This love affair that the three of them had built up for the past couple months couldn't go on forever.

"I think you should go David... your wife is probably waiting for you" Michelle muttered quietly, whilst fiddling with her braids. Of course she didn't want him to leave, but she felt like she had to do what was right.

"I told you I'm divorcing her, and I don't want you to blame yourself about it either because it would've happened anyway, sooner or later. Kim and I have been unhappy together for years" he uttered in his deep and hoarse voice, before rubbing his eyes together and pushing himself up. "I know that the next couple of weeks are gonna be difficult, but- I don't want you to quit, Michelle... we'll figure all this out, I promise you".

Michelle turned her head to look up at him before speaking up. "I don't want things to get worse, I just... wish you didn't hire me" she mumbled. Her words had crushed him. He didn't have any regrets pr doubts hiring her to look after Stephanie, but she didn't feel the same way. The look in her eyes was filled with so much guilt, that he himself started to blame himself for doing that to her.

Moments later, David slowly pulled her closer to him so that she could rest his head on his shoulders. He gently stroked the back of her head, as she closed her eyes relaxing to the feeling of his touch. "You know I'm not firing you, you can come back whenever you want" he whispered, before peering down at her.

"I think its best if I stay away... for now" she said calmly.

The two sat closely together for the next 15-20 minutes, till it was time for David to leave. They got up from the sofa and slowly headed towards the front door, whilst their palms grasped lightly along the way. He didn't want to leave, he didn't want to leave her, but he knew that she had a lot of things to think about and figure out on her own. It was amazing how a girl so much younger than him, had managed to dig up all of his hidden and scattered feelings and emotions and bring them all out at once. Not only that, but he knew the love he felt for her was the love his Father had spoken about years ago. The type of love to make your heart beat quickly just by simply seeing the sight of her. I guess the saying was right, you couldn't help who you fall for, but what kept them apart was stronger than what brought them together.
