It was a quiet Saturday morning and Michelle awoke to the sound of someone knocking on her door. Saturday and Sunday were the only days she had off during the week and she certainly didn't like to be disturbed.
She furrowed her eyebrows and let out a loud yawn before fluttering her eyes open. She fixed the bonnet on top of her head before climbing out of her bed and going to head into her living room whilst dragging her feet on the ground along the way. Still half asleep, she sluggishly opened the front door, to find David and Stephanie standing behind it. She heard a chuckle escape from Stephanie's lips and she quickly straightened up and cleared her throat before glancing up at David who stared at her amusingly.
"Did we wake you?" he asked, glancing down at his watch to see that it was almost 9 am.
"Oh no no, I was already awake, sir, its fine" she chuckled awkwardly, noticing that he wasn't wearing his usual suit get-up that he wore almost everyday, but instead a dark blue dress shirt and black jeans.
Michelle watched as he placed Stephanie on the ground and took of his sunglasses, before turning to look down at her. "I know its a Saturday, but I decided to take Steph to the park today and we suggested that you come with us today... unless you have something else to do today?" he asked, staring deeply at her, almost as if he were staring into her soul.
Lately, whenever he spoke to her, he looked at her the same way which made her feel quite overwhelmed and nervous. He had always had strong eye contact, even from the first day he approached her, but lately it seemed to be getting stronger. Michelle stared back up at him for a couple seconds before glancing down at Stephanie who gazed back up at her with her usual cute puppy dog eyes. "Please come with us, Michelle" she pleaded, before reaching up to grab hold of David's hand, and she couldn't help but to instantly give in.
"I'd love to come, thank you for inviting me" she smiled, causing the both of them to do the same.
"Great. we'll be waiting out in the car" he said pointing back to his black jeep, before picking Stephanie back up and walking over to it.
Michelle quickly shut her door, and stopped to look at the two from her window. She watched as David held Stephanie up in the air and rapidly spun her around, and she couldn't help but smile to herself. Ever since they had that conversation about him not spending enough time with her in his office last week, she had noticed how he had managed to change that, even though it was only for a little while. David placed Stephanie in the backseat and shut the door, before turning his head to glance back at the house, and she quickly hid behind the curtains before he could catch her staring. She waited several seconds later, before peeking her out the curtains to see him leaning on his car and waving over at her, and she smiled and waved back, before running of to get ready with her heart beating incredibly fast along the way.
20-25 minutes later, Michelle hurried out of her front door, whilst swinging her handbag over her shoulder. She wore a bright yellow spaghetti strap top, jean shorts, sandals and her dreadlocks were pushed to the side, covering up half of her face.
David stepped out of the car, to open the passengers seat for her, and she nodded her head thanking him. He didn't treat her like his daughter's nanny at all, it was almost as if he forgot half of the time, and she didn't seem to mind.
They drove in total silence for a little while, enjoying each other's company. David rested one arm out the window and turned back to glance at Stephanie, before turning his head to look over at Michelle, who gaped out the window at people passing by. This girl was truly a mystery beyond words. Suddenly, he found himself slowly diverting his eyes down to her thighs and legs. Realising what he was doing, he quickly snapped his away and turned his attention back on the road. He rapidly shook his head and let out a deep breath, not believing that he had just looked at his Daughter's nanny in that type of way.
