no ones pov.
Today was Chan's first day as a barista at sweetmiel café, and he was full of joy. He has had many jobs but he really wanted to try being a barista for awhile and see if he would like it or not.
The owner approached him, his name was Park jungho . The owner flashes a small smile
"You ready chan?"
Chan nods and smiles back "yes! I'm more then ready"
Jungho softly chuckles and begins giving chan all the instructions on how to make certain drinks and how to be polite to customers.
Chan was obviously polite to everyone but you know, you can never be too sure.
"Oh okay! I think I got it all down in my mind. Thank you Jungho." Chan says and bows.
Jungho smiles, gives Chan a thumbs up and walks towards the entrance to change the "CLOSED" sign to "OPEN."
"Good luck man!"
THIRTY MINUTES HAS PASSED.
chans pov.
It's been about thirty minutes or so and no one has entered the café. Not gonna lie I feel slightly disappointed. I thought today would be a full house.
Every new barista expects that but .... no one has entered. at all. How sad.
I walk over to the coffee machine to make myself a cup and I hear the door open.
oh my god finally! A customer.
I speed walk towards the cash register and start conversing with the customer.
"Hello ma'am! Welcome to Sweetmiel Café, My name is Bang chan but you can just call me chan! I'll be at your service today!" and I slightly bow.
Once I stand back up I flash the customer a smile.
"Is it your first day here?" The customer asks.
"how- how did you know?" I reply.
"I used to work here a little less than a year ago and I was exactly the same as you! With the nice introduction and flashing a smile ." The customer smiles.
"Oh! Well yeah you're right. It is my first day here. Kind of nerve wrecking. But what's your name miss?" I ask.
She smiles and puts a stand of hair behind her ear. "My name is Goeun! Park Goeun."
I smile and right it down on a piece of paper so I can remember her name later on.
"So what would you like Goeun?"
"Hmm id like the classic americano decafe please" she smiles
"Coming right up!"
Less then five minutes later.
"Here is your Classic Americano decafe coffee Goeun!" I give it to Goeun with a small note on the side.
She smiles "oh thank you! and what's this?" She asks
"Just open it." I smile and proceed working. More customers were walking in and I obviously had to assist them.
Goeuns pov.
I open the small note that chan gave me and it had... it had his number on it, and there was a small little message.
I know we just met but you seem really sweet and nice, so hopefully we can become friends? Here is my number if you want to text me. Have a great day Goeun ! :)
I smile and look back at chan, who was already staring at me, I nod and he smiles. He takes his eyes off me and looks at the customer in front of him.
Later on that day I did text chan.
and that's how we became
best friends.
