the name is han seojin, people call me jinjin for short. one of my aspiring dreams is to be a writer, specifically a songwriter. personally, writing is a way to release your feelings, what better way to let your feelings out than from a song right? i don't know, maybe that's just me.
what if i told you that i have a crush on my best friend? soooo surprising right? i don't know what is about my best friend but he makes me feel like i'm the only girl in the world. whenever we're together, all i see is him and only him. some friends of mine say that i'm in love with him, but it can't be, i've never been in love before so how would i know what love is like or how it feels? pft, my friends are just messing with me.
coincidentally, i'm writing this song for my best friend. not as a way for me to confess because confessing isn't really my thing, but its a way for me to let out my feelings for him. songs can put words together and express things easily than having an actual conversation. well, that's what i think.
as i pick up my pencil to start writing once more, i get a text from my best friend, jisung. this is what it said: "Hey jinjin! I just wanted to let you know that I'm coming by to the studio in around five, I know that I should've let you know earlier but I know that you won't mind :) Okay I'm heading out now, See you later."

how does he know that i'm in the studio? i didn't even tell hi- oh wait i'm literally always here after school.
if you walk straight down and turn left, there would be a studio near my school. i'm close with the people that own it so they allow me to use it whenever i need it. jisung usually has practice for whatever sport he plays. i can't keep track of what sport he's doing because he always tries out for every damn team, my mind kinda goes insane.
sooner or later, i hear footsteps and i see him, jisung, covered in s w e a t, or he's just wet because of the rain.
"HELLO SUNSHINE." he yelled as he busted the door wide open, somewhat startling me but not by a lot as he usually does this every time he comes to visit.
"i can't tell if you're sweating or if you're just wet from the rain" i say, softly chuckling while looking back to my paper.
he decides to sit right beside me, completely avoiding my question and lays his head on my shoulder, i don't mind it because he's always done that since the start of our friendship, it's normal by now.
"what are you writing? another song?"
"bingo", i smile and i turn to look at him but i immediately look away as our faces were inches apart and that would end up to us accidentally kissing, something i don't want to occur.
as i turn away, i hear him softly laughing. i feel my face form into a smile, and another lyric comes to mind when this moment occurred. "straight out of a Hollywood movie"
i jump in my seat causing him to move his head fro my shoulder, startling him as well.
"jinjin wha-"
"thank you jisung!" i yell, turning to face him while maintaining a bright smile on my face.
the whole song starts coming to me piece by piece, i become way more focused and i'm in the groove. literally nothing can disturb nor get me out of the groove. since jisung knows that nothing could possibly bother me, he decides to leave my area of the studio and goes to a vacant dance studio that's down the hall of mine, i can hear him blasting music but i'm still quite focused on this song.
as time progresses, the song is almost complete, all i'm missing is the chorus and the title of the song.
"Baby take my hand, i want you to be my husband..." um.. wait shit what should come after that?? i text one of my friends for some creativity, i'm having writers block right now.

as i put together the song, i erase and rewrite some lyrics but at this point, its all done. The final thing i need is the title. I decide to sing the song softly to see what lyric stands out. As I start to sing jisung walks in on me, but I try to ignore him so I can focus on the song. I feel myself blushing as he is practically hearing the song i wrote about him but whatever.
i sing the last line and that's when it hits me "I love you 3000", that's it. that's the title.
i begin to feel pumped.
"i love you"
"what"
"i love you 3000!"
"jinjin what"
i jump up from my seat and i turn to face jisung to tell him that i have found the title of the song.
"I LOVE YOU...."
"oh..."
"3000..."
or that. why didn't the 3000 come out sooner? now we're gonna face rejection.
"seojin." he walks over to me and im stunned, its as if my body froze and no longer knows how to work, i feel stuck.
a couple seconds pass by and now he's in front of me, faces inches apart. sometimes i forget that he's tall so i have to somewhat look up at him.
He puts some of my hair behind my ear while staring at me lovingly in the eyes.
"i love you too, i love you 3000."
