I was walking to the school with MJ. "Are you sure you are okay?" "I am Pete. How did you do that?" "I used to run a lot in California." More like ran from things actually. "Oh...were you on track and field?" "No. I just loved to run. My gym teach told me I had good reflexes but I didn't think so." "Well, take his comment to heart because what you did was amazing, Pete." "Not really." We arrived at Midtown High, it was a pretty big school. I sighed. My head fell. Can I do this again? Will this be harder than it was back in Beacon Hills? Will it be easier? I already miss my friends. I wanted someone to be sarcastic to and would be able to laugh because they knew not to take it seriously. What if I can't find that here? I started breathing rapidly. I froze staring at the school. "Peter? You good?" "Yeah...I'm fine. It's just a new school, new city, new home, and new friends. All of my friends are back in California probably dealing with something. I'm here restarting my life as if I hit the reset button on a game." I shook my head rubbing the back of my neck. I don't think I can do this. This might prove to be too difficult for me. At least, back in Beacon Hills. I knew everyone and every place and crack and secrets. Here...I don't know anything except that I know Avengers tower is near Times Square...that's it. For once, the brilliant detective and science nerd, Stiles, is at a stand still. I closed my eyes, my head started buzzing. My head snapped up. I turned to see a girl was slipping in a puddle of water and was about to hit her head on the concrete. I bolted to her and caught her in my arms before she could hit her head. I gasped out of exhilaration. I did it again...I saved another girl.
"Peter?" "Gwen?" "Thanks...how did you do that?" "I've been asking myself the same question since this morning." I muttered under my breath. MJ walked up to Gwen and I. "Pete. Are you just going to save everyone you see? If that's your way of making friends it seems to be working out." MJ stated. "What?" Gwen asked. "Pete saved me this morning. He saved me from being hit by a car that ran a red light. It happened so fast." MJ recalled. I was silent. "Quite the hero, Peter." "You don't know the half of it." I said under my breath so only I could hear it. Whatever happened to me at Oscorp is doing something to me. Affecting me somehow, I don't know. I pushed my glasses up my nose and sighed. "I have to go get my schedule and locker. So, I can actually attend class." I told the two beautiful girls. "Okay. See you later Pete." "Yeah bye Peter." The girls replied. I nodded and waved. I was walking into people. "Sorry. Sorry. Whoops. Sorry. Sorry. My bad." I said quickly as I bumped into people. I walked to the office. "Yes? Can I help you?" "Um...hopefully. I'm Peter Parker. I'm new here." "Oh...you're the applicant that has the GPA of 4.9." "Uh...yeah...that would be me." "Here is your schedule and locker number." The lady told me handing me two slips of paper after she printed them out. "Thanks." I replied and walked out of the office. I looked at my schedule. I had Calculus first and then Chemistry second. I walked to my locker and opened it up. Then closed it. Stupid. You don't have anything yet. I looked for my class. I was so lost. I wandered the halls. I stood in the hall irritated.
"Hey. Need some help?" a voice rang from behind me. I turned around. It was a guy with brown hair, in a polo shirt drinking a coffee. "If you can tell me where to find the calculus room then yeah." I said. "Follow me. I'm going there now." "Cool." "I'm Harry Osborn by the way." "Did you just say that your name is Harry Osborn. As in Norman Osborn's son?" "Yeah...don't remind me." "Sorry. I'm a huge fan of the studies that happens at Oscorp." I told him. "I bet you would. I heard about you, from MJ." "You know MJ? Of course you might know MJ. I haven't lived in New York more than a day." I said quickly. Harry laughed. We arrived at the class. "So, Peter if you ever need help with something. Just know you can ask me for help." Harry said. "Okay." We walked into the classroom. I scratched the back of my head as I entered the room. "Ah. Who do we have here?" the teacher asked. "This is a new student." Harry said patting my shoulder then went and took a seat. "Name." "Peter. Parker. Peter Parker." "And where are you from...Mr. Parker?" "Uh...Beacon Hills, California." "Isn't that the place-" "Yeah with the beasts and supernatural creatures of the night. I have encountered a few." I told the teacher. "Good god! How are you alive?" the teacher asked. "A have a good group of friends who know how to put up a fight for their life." I told them. "Where are these friends now?" "Back home in Beacon Hills." I said. "Well then. Take your seat. Mr. Parker." "Thank you." I went to the middle of the class where the only seat was left available. I took off my beanie that I had on. I had hat hair, beanie hair whatever you would like to call it. My hair was standing up wispy. I rubbed the back of my neck. I was thinking about Scott and the others. They were probably worrying about me. Asking my dad where the heck I am at. I sighed. "Mr. Parker, perhaps you think you are too smart to be in this class." "What?" "Your sigh of boredom has interrupted my class. Would you like to tell me the answer to the equation?" "Uh...." I said looking at the chalkboard. "Any day now Park-" "37.57 is X" "How did you- that's correct. How did you get that answer?" "Did I tell you that I'm smart because that's why." "Oh joy. Another sarcastic one." The teacher said. Then the bell rang. I got out of my seat. I walked out of the classroom. I should call Scott. No I shouldn't. I should. I shouldn't! I ran my hair through my hair in frustration. "Pete. You okay?" "Not really." I answered. "What's wrong?" "I was thinking of my past. I can't think of my past. That's all. If I do then I'll go back. I can't go back. If I go back. I'll be haunted by my past. Gwen I can't do that." I started hyperventilating. "Calm down Pete." Gwen said. I shook my head. I walked to the bathroom and grabbed the sink. I pulled back. My hands were stuck to the sink. "Aw crap! Not this again." I tried pulling my hands off the sink. I yanked the sink out of the wall. It dropped to the ground. I backed up against the wall. My hands got stuck to the wall behind me. Dude I'm like a...spider? I bolted out the bathroom leaving a spew of water coming out of the wall. I ran down the hall. "Peter! Where are you going?!" MJ asked. "I....uh...I have to go! I'm sorry! Love you got to go bye!" I skidded to a halt. My face turned to that of embarrassment. I turned around slowly. "I am so sorry! I thought you were someone else that I knew from Beacon Hills. You remind me of her." I said. Of Lydia. Her face was blushing a bit. "It's fine, Pete. Go." She said with a pretty smile. I smiled back. "Thanks for understanding MJ. I got to go." I turned around and bolted out of the school. I ran out to an alley way and looked at my hands. I looked at the wall that and back at my hands. I put my hands on the wall. I started to the scale the wall. I was climbing the wall. "This is awesome!" I started climbing faster. I reached the rooftop. It was a 35 story tall building. I looked down the side of the building. "Oh boy. This should be fun."
