I arrived at the location of Vulture. I walked inside slowly looking for him. I saw his wing-suit on display. I saw a figure on the other side of the warehouse working at a table. "Hey! Surpised?" "Oh hey Pete. I didn't hear you come in." "It's over. I've got you." "I gotta tell you Pete...I really, really admire your grit. I see why Liz likes you. I do. When you first came to the house...I wasn't sure. I thought, "Really?" But I get it now." "How could you do this to her?" "To her? I'm not doing anything to her, Pete. I'm doin this FOR her." "Oh. Yeah." I replied shooting a web at his left hand tethering him to the table. Vulture sighed. "Peter...you're young. You don't understand how the world works." "Yeah, but I understand that selling weapons to criminals is wrong." I said pointing my finger at him. "How do you think your buddy Stark paid for that tower? Or any of his little toys? Those people, Peter, those people up there...the rich and the powerful, they do whatever they want. Guys like us...like you and me...they don't care about us. We build their roads, and we fight all their wars...and everything, but they don't care about us. We have to pick up after them. We have to eat their table scraps. That's how it is. I know you know what I'm talking about, Peter." "Why are you telling me this?" I asked raising my arms in the air. "Because I want you to understand. And...I needed a little time to get her airborne." He said as he lifted up a pocket knife. His wing-suit came flying into the area straight at me. I dodged out of the way. The suit spun around and dove at me again. I climbed a pillar and jumped off in time to see the suit cut the pillar where I was just positioned. I jumped around as the suit tried to hit me. It kept hitting the pillars. "I'm sorry, Peter." "What are you talking about? That thing hasn't even touched me yet." I said landing on the ground and standing up. "True. Then again...wasn't really trying to." He said shrugging. The suit continued to smash the remaining pillars. Oh my god! It's going to bring the- I never finished my thought as the ceiling crashed into me, burying me under a giant pile of concrete and rubble.
I woke up being unable to move. I realized I was stuck between giant chunks of concrete. I couldn't get out. I began breathing fast. I tore my mask off. I tried to get out but failed. "Help! Somebody help me! I'm down here! I'm down here! Please!" I cried out in tears. I looked down at the ground. I saw my reflection in the water. I saw my mask. It took up half of my reflection. If you're nothing without this suit then you shouldn't have it....
I made a grimace. "Come on Peter. Come on Peter. Come on Spider-Man." I said to myself as I began to push the rubble off of me. "Come on Spider-Man....come on SPIDER-MAN!!" I screamed. I grunted with exertion as I pushed the rubble higher and higher off the ground and in the air. I heaved the concrete off of me. I collapsed to the ground out of breath. I grabbed my mask. I looked up to see the familiar shape of Vulture perched on a billboard staring off into the distance at Avengers tower. I ran in his direction and webbed up to a rooftop. I ran and shot a web at his foot as he took to the skies. THIS IS TOTALLY NOT HOW I WANTED TO SPEND HOMECOMING!!!
