Chapter 11

I woke up the next morning happy. I wore my suit underneath my clothes. I opened up my blinds and curtains. MJ was getting ready for school. My face turned red. I quickly turned away. I headed downstairs and out the house. I was walking down the sidewalk. MJ walked out of her house 5 minutes later. I heard her call my name. "Peter!" I turned around and smiled. "Hey MJ." "Gwen wants to know if you would like to have dinner at her place with her family. I'm going to go." "Yeah that sounds great. When is it?" "Tonight. Here's her apartment number." MJ said giving me a slip of paper. "Cool."

The two of us arrived at school. Gwen was waiting for us at the entrance. My head buzzed. I froze and turned around. A fire! I heard a little girl scream. It's nearby! I took off to the fire. "Peter!" The two girls yelled. "I'll be right back don't worry about me." I told them. I ran to the fire and swung into the burning building. "Hello?! Where are you?!" I yelled. I heard a whimper. I looked at a closet. It was on the other side of the room. I jumped to the ceiling and crawled to the other side. I jumped down. I opened the closet and found the little girl. "Hey! I'm going to get you out of here okay? That sound good?" I picked the girl up in one arm and protected her from the flames. I shot a web out the window to a building across the street. I pulled back and was launched forward like a slingshot. I stopped by slowing down midair. I landed on the ground with the girl safely in my arms. I walked over to an ambulance and gave them the girl. "Who are you?" "You wouldn't believe me if I told you." I said then jumped into the air into the rooftop of the building next to me. I ran and jumped off the roof and landed on the ground. I was walking back to school with a grin on my face. "Oh my god Peter what happened to you?!" Gwen asked. "Your face is covered in soot." MJ pointed out. I cleaned a chimney." "Fine don't tell us then." Gwen stated and walked in the school.
