I was at school looking at the strange object that I had found on the ground last night, with Ned. There was a purple stone inside of the metal cylinder. I took the stone out and looked at it. "Dude what is that?" "I have no idea. I found it 15 minutes after I was fell into the lake from the sky. It looks alien. It most be a power source for something." I assumed. The two of us were in shop class trying to hammer the purple stone out of the cylinder. I hammered the cylinder and a loud bang and bunch of sparks flew out. Ned and I turned around to look at the teacher. "Remember keep your fingers away from the saw blades." he said as he continued to read his book, not bothering to look up. We looked back to the strange object. The stone was outside of the cylinder. Ned and I did our secret handshake, "Nice!....Now what?" Ned asked. "Uh...I guess I'll find out later." I told him. Class ended and we went to our next class. I saw Cassie standing by my locker. I walked to her and smiled.
"Hey Peter. I was wondering if you were going to Academic Decathlon in Washington D.C.?" "Uh....yeah I'm going. Hopefully...if nothing related to my other alias gets in the way of it. Why?" "I'm going." "You're going?" "Of course. Wouldn't miss it. I'd like to see you Mr. Parker there...to win. I heard that you are the backbone of the team." "Uh...I wouldn't say that. Gwen used to be the backbone....back when she was you know..." "I know...more of a reason of why you need to be there. To honor Gwen. By winning the Decathlon." Cassie said staring into my eyes. She leaned in and kissed me on the lips tenderly. I smiled when I pulled back. "I'll see you after school. My place." Cassie said then walked away. Ned walked up to me. "Dude...are you and Cassie like a thing?" "Gee! Ned what gave it away? The kiss or the one and a half inches of space between our lips?" "Dude! That's awesome! Does she know about you being you-know-who?" "Of course she knows! Her dad is Iron Man and her uncle is Captain America." "Her uncle is Captain America? Isn't he like over a hundred years old?" "I guess Cap was really good friends with Tony's father, Howard Stark during the years of him first being Captain America." I answered shrugging. "Oh." "So, obviously...having a family of superheroes makes it even better to have her in the know about me. Especially when it was her dad that ousted me out in front of her." I said. "Wait Mr. Stark exposed you as Spider-Man in front of your girlfriend?!" Ned nearly screamed. "DUDE! SHUT UP!!! YOU'RE GOING TO MAKE ALL OF NEW YORK KNOW ABOUT ME!!" I whisper screamed.
I was sitting at lunch when I heard two voices. "It's this way." that voice sounds familiar. "How do you know?" "The machine is telling me the stone is this way, idiot." The stone!! I ran out of the cafeteria towards the two men. Cassie stood up concerned. "Peter?" she asked. I flew out the cafeteria ignoring her. I slowly and cautiously walked down the hallway. The voices got louder. I turned the corner to see the two men. I skidded to a halt and sidestepped to the corner. I peered around the corner looking at them. "Come on it's in here." the guy said. I quickly went into the after them silently and slowly walked down the stairs. The two men were looking for the stone. What's so great about this stone that they want it back so badly? I ducked under the table and attached myself to the underside of the table and kept quiet. One of the men brought his hand to his gun holster and walked my way. I webbed the stone to me. When the other guy turned away. The two men went to leave the room. I put a tracer on one of the men shoes. "I'm gonna find you and I'm going to get you." God...I've been watching too much of Taken.
