I slowly put my regular clothes over my destroyed Spider-Man suit. I swung home. I landed on the steps that lead up to the front door. My face was sweaty, bloody, bruised, and cut. My body was the same way except on a larger scale. I slowly opened the front door. I had my bag in my hand. I trudged into the house. I dropped the bag onto the floor. I let out a sigh. May was sitting in the chair. She looked at me with tears in her eyes. She ran to me. "Peter? What happened to you? You look like crap!" May asked grabbing my cheeks. I smiled sheepishly at her. "I...uh....got into a fight with a group of people." I said. May sighed. "You're always getting into fights. Mister." She walked away. I slowly walked up the stairs. I made it to my room. I leaned up against the doorframe. I opened the door slowly and walked in. "PETER!!" I opened my eyes to see Gwen. She ran to me and kissed me on the lips. I grabbed her waist and kissed her back. "YOU'RE ALIVE!" Gwen exclaimed. "I'm not dead." I said quietly. I walked in further to see Scott and the others. Scott had been crying; obviously crying because he was worrying about me. I walked to him. He hugged me. I hugged back. "I'm so sorry. I'm sorry I had been an such a jerk. I shouldn't have shut you guys out." "Peter. It's fine....don't apologize. I shouldn't have kept pushing you. I'm the reason you left man." "Hey guys...can you stop this? It's getting really weird." Isaac stated. "Isaac, you're about as big of an butthole than ever before." "Thank you I try my best." Isaac said with a smirk and a chuckle. "I hate you." "No you don't." Isaac said ruffling my hair. "Don't touch my hair." I said. Isaac rolled his eyes. "What happened to Lizard?" "He changed back to Dr. Curt Connors." "What about my dad?" Gwen asked. I looked at her silent. "Gwen....he didn't make it." I said in a whisper to her. "What?" She asked quietly. "The Lizard killed him. He saved my life." I said walking to the window. I let my head fall. "I'm sorry Gwen." "We'll leave you guys to have some privacy." Derek said. "What? Why? It's just getting good!" Isaac complained. "Isaac get your butt out of this room before I drag you by your legs." Derek threatened. Isaac's eyes widened in fear. He bolted out the room.

"Gwen...I'm so sorry. I didn't know he was going to be there. I thought it was just going to be me and Lizard. Gwen, I feel so terrible....It's Allison and Aiden....all over again." I said quietly and ashamed. "Peter." "Gwen...I understand if you don't want to talk to me or see me anymore. I wouldn't see myself after what I did." "Peter...it's okay. How were you to know that my dad was going to be there? What my dad did was his choice and his only. Peter, this was NOT your fault. It was nobody's fault except Lizard's. Do you understand, Peter? It's okay to feel guilt but don't let it consume you. It's okay, Peter." Gwen said grabbing my face and looking into my hazel brown eyes. "Gwen..." I started. She put her lips to mine and smiled. "It's okay. I swear. Don't let my dad become another Allison or Aiden. He did what he thought was the right thing to do. This is not on you." I nodded. "Okay." "Yeah?" "Yes." "Good. Now let's get you cleaned up and bandaged up." Gwen said with a beautiful smile. "Yeah go do that." I said.

Well I saved the city. There was a funeral for Captain Stacy. I didn't attend it though. I felt terrible about what I did but Gwen told me that it was okay. I sighed looking at my locker. Flash walked by in a white tshirt. "Hey Flash...nice shirt." "I know the chicks dig the guy." He replied. It was a Spider-Man shirt. I smiled. After school I had put on my my spider suit and was swinging across the city. I love this place. I'm never leaving it. My life is good right now. I got a girl who loves me and calls me her own, I'm a freaking superhero, and now the people of New York love Spider-Man. I could get used to this.

I heard a scream and swung towards the voice. "Well...time to get to work!" I said as I flipped in the air and shot another web and continued my swinging. I landed behind a group of men. "How many times do I have to tell you guys? It's not nice to terrorize women. It's going to get a chat with me. Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man." I said standing up, crossing my arms, and cocking my head to the left. "Get that Spider-Freak!" "Hey! That's hurtful! It's Spider-MAN not freak. You however are freaky looking." I said webbing his face. "That's better." I joked. I pulled him towards me and kneed him in the gut. The other men ran at me simultaneously. "Oh no!! It's four against one! What am I to do?!" I asked in mocking fear. I dodged the attacks. "Strike 1!" I said grabbing the arm of one of the men and twisting it and threw him into the wall webbing there. A second guy ran at me from behind with a crowbar. I grabbed the crowbar, I yanked it of his hand. "Really? A crowbar? What are you going to do? Pry me open like a door? I don't think so." I quipped tripping him to the ground and webbing him in the stomach and pulling him over my head. and webbed him to a light pole. "Strike 2!" I stated. The third and fourth men ran at me from the sides. I sighed in disappointment. "You know I really expected more from you guys." I ducked and punched number three in the stomach and kneed him in the face. I webbed him and yanked him to hit the fourth guy. "Strike 3!" I said pulling my web back pulling the third guy off the fourth guy. I webbed number three to the wall. I webbed the fourth guys arms and made them cross each other. He struggled. I pantsed him while whistling. "Aaannnnd you're OUT!!" I screamed as I jumped into the air spun around him and kicked him in the face. "I win. The next time you guys try to do this again just remember this itsy bitsy spider wiped you out. Hello? Hey you went asleep during my joke. That's not nice." I said shrugging "Oh well. Your loss." I stated. I looked to the woman. "You good?" The woman nodded. "Thank you Spider-Man." "No problem. Where you heading?" "Home across the city." "I'll give a lift. Where do you live?" I asked. She gave me her address. I picked her up by the waist and swung to her house. In a few short minutes we arrived at her place. "There we are, thank you for choosing Air-Spidey. Hope you had a nice flight." I said landing in front of her door. I set her down. "Thank you Spider-Man." "Again. No problem. My pleasure. Have a good day, Madam." I said and ran off web-sipping myself into the air. I have I told you guys how much I love this? Probably only about few million times. I swung around the city and kept a look for a civilian or civilians in distress. "Criminals look out! There's a new sheriff in town. He's called Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man!" I said as swung into the air and dove down and swung inches off the ground, screaming out of exhilaration.
