Not a Story, But a Realization

Ok, so I was reading through The Hollow Boy, fact checking myself. When on page 235 the third paragraph down. When Lucy is pissed at Lockwood for being so secretive and goes through Jessica's room, she finds the necklace that Lockwood gives her in The Empty Grave!
"The first drawer stuck, and I didn't want to force it. The second was filled to the brim with tiny cardboard boxes  of many shapes and colors. I opended one: a golden necklace, with a dark green stone, lay in a sheet of cotton batting. His sister's? No. His mother's? I put it back and slid the drawer shut...."
Now you might be saying that in the Empty Grave on page 277 she claims that it was a "shimmerimg blue stone"  and on page 427 she talks about "the sapphire glinting" But when she first saw it, it was dark and she wasn't looking for anything like that. So tje shadows of the room could have made the stone look dark green instead of blue.
