I felt the wind rock the branch I was on, causing me to wake up a little bit. I would have fallen back asleep had I not felt something weird on my chest. It felt like blunt needles running up my chest, which caused me to squirm for a second until I opened my eyes and saw what was causing the feeling. It froze in its tracks as soon as it saw I was awake. I was staring right at a Spinarak. My muscles immediately stiffened and froze. We just stared at each other for a minute, but my mind was on high alert. One thing I did not want to wake up to was a Pokémon staring directly at me, and adrenaline pumping through my veins. The Spinarak stared at me, unsure of what to do. In the back of my mind, I was already forming a plan.

"Don't be scared, I-" That was the last thing I heard as my body did an involuntary spaz and I fell off the tree. I started freefalling until I felt my back crash onto the ground below me. The soft ground cushioned the blow a little, but I felt shock reverberate throughout my entire body as the full impact hit my body. I flinched and tried to reach for my back, but that only seemed to make it worse. I strained for a second to focus, then I cracked an eye open to see the Spinarak staring down at me. It was coming right down towards me. If there was one fear I had, it was death, if there was another, it was spiders. My adrenaline went into overdrive as my legs practically threw me up on their own and started running. I didn't even hear anything behind me as I booked it onto the road and ran north as fast as possible. My legs seemed to be carrying me faster than I thought I could ever go. Guess adrenaline does more things than just faster reflexes.

As I ran, I didn't look back. I was too startled and too on edge to see if it was keeping up with me. I ran for a solid twenty minutes before my adrenaline finally gave out. I fell onto the road, catching myself by placing my hands on the ground before my face could crash into it. As I started wheezing for air, I could start to feel my thirst rise in my throat, making it feel like it was a desert as well as on fire. My muscles were burning just as harshly. I looked up at the road. It couldn't be that much further, could it? I went to try and stand back up, but my back started throbbing. That fall did more than I thought. I placed a hand on my back, trying to stop the pain with some pressure. After a second of pressing down on my back, I didn't feel any pain at all. I was a little shocked at first, then I remembered what I had done to Serena with her....

I felt no pain in my back as I stood back up. The same couldn't be said for my knees since I practically tripped and fell. They were bleeding a little bit, but if I could heal Serena's scar, then.... This was it. If I really could heal, then it would be proven now and before my eyes. I cupped both my hands around one knee and applied pressure. I winced a little bit, but in a second, I didn't start to feel any kind of pain. I slowly let off the pressure and moved my hands out of the way. I stared in complete shock. No blood, no tear, no nothing. What was going on?! That voice, that voice from my head! That can be the only reason- I couldn't freak out here. I placed my hands on my other knee and did the exact same thing. Once I was good to go, I stood up and started walking with more questions than I ever thought I would have. Walking down the road may not have been the smartest thing, but with so many questions, and with my hunger and thirst coming back, I wasn't thinking straight.

I just needed some kind of water. Something to get rid of this burning inside of my throat. The travel seemed long and miserable for however long it went. I didn't encounter anyone at all, but then I thought I heard something. I froze in my tracks as I heard it in my ears. I started to run until I could see what was causing the noise. In front of me, I saw a lake. I stared at that lake like it was an ice-cold beverage. Just looking at it made my throat simmer a little bit. I don't even remember getting to the shoreline and getting on my knees. All I really remember was the cool feeling of water going down my throat. It felt so soothing as it seemed like a flood drenching a desert. I pulled my head up, letting myself get a few breaths of air until I dipped my head in for another drink. As I was taking another sip, that's when I heard the voice.
