Before I even recognized where I was at, I found myself at the bottom of the stairs. My eyes turned to a door down the hallway, the door next to Sky's. I looked behind me and saw the door at the end of the hallway. My only assumption was that this one was Ruby's. I was honestly a little surprised that I was hanging this strong. I don't know if it was a change in atmosphere or just getting out of the heat, even if I was still dripping in sweat. I looked at Ruby's door for a minute, then my brain registered something. Ruby was only a little over a foot tall. That meant that she was.... My entire body shuddered at the thought. I closed my eyes and let my hand go across the hallway wall as I walked down. I pushed myself off one wall and felt my hand touch the other wall. Then I felt the handle to one door. I opened my eyes as I saw the other door right at the end, or rather, beginning of the hallway. As I gripped the handle and turned it, I felt moisture hit my face.

As I walked inside, I was a little astonished to see a large body of water in front of me! As I looked around, the water chopped slightly, but it looked undisturbed besides that. As my eyes looked around, I tried to see if I could maybe spot Megan. I couldn't see her anywhere in here. My eyes caught a separate room just a little past the large body of water. Something told me that was where Megan was. As I looked back over the water, the task was intimidating. The pool had to be at least a hundred feet long! I tried to look around to see if I could find another way, but from what I could see, I couldn't find another path. So, I did what I had to. I sucked it up, walked to the edge of the water, and tested it out with my foot at first. The water was warm surprising enough. After that, I let myself sink into the water. Immediately my body sunk then surfaced again. I had underestimated how deep it was! As I came back up, my entire body not wet from the water, one of my arms reached over the edge and kept me up. I coughed up some water as I looked back down. Now that I was in it, the water looked to be maybe seven feet deep. This is why I hated being shorter, but I couldn't really do anything about that. Malnutrition was the cause of that.

I looked back towards the room still on the other side of the pool. After calming myself back down, I pressed my feet on the wall underwater and gave myself a push. As I started swimming through, I felt my arms starting to get into the rhythm of pulling me forward. I didn't know how to swim well, but I at least knew from watching others swim along the shore that you had to move your arms. My distance between me and the room was getting shorter, but I could already feel my arms starting to burn. I had barely gotten halfway before everything started to go numb. I had to keep going, otherwise I'd end up drowning. I was panting through my mouth, occasionally splashing water into my own face, causing me to spit out any water that came into my mouth. Eventually, I couldn't feel anything in my arms and my chest. The motion of moving my arms was making my body burn. All I really recall was turning onto my back and feeling the water wrap around my chest. My body would continue to surface as I took deep breaths of air. As I continued to take in air, my head occasionally got hit by a ripple of water that I had disturbed. I shut my eyes and tried to let my arms rest. I started to feel some feeling come back into my arms as some time went on. Suddenly, I felt something tap my head. It hurt and I recoiled a little bit, submerging myself a little bit. As I grabbed on to what hit me, I saw that I was holding onto a ledge. I looked at it confused for a minute, then as I turned my head around, I went bug-eyed. The distance I didn't make, a little less than halfway, I had floated the rest of the way over! When I looked around, I saw that the roof was a little darker color of blue.

The room was a little larger than the walls made it appear. The room had another hallway to the straight ahead. There was water coming from this hallway, not as deep, but still enough to submerge at least my waist. My head had hit the corner leading to this shallower hallway. I turned myself around, putting my stomach in the water and was able to stretch myself enough to reach the other side of this narrow pass. The room itself seemed to have a few other commodities and furnishings as well. As I pulled and pushed myself through this narrow waterway, there was only a few lights lighting the way. Eventually, the water lowered down to my shins as I started walking. I caught sight of a bed and a faint blue figure as I had approached. As I got closer, I could tell it was Megan. She just seemed to be sitting down on her bed, her back to me. As I stepped out of the water, she didn't seem to notice me. Most of the water had dripped off me as I slowly emerged from the water. When I got about five feet from her, I noticed something around her neck. I could tell is it was pink. I might not have seen it if she hadn't leaned her head down.
