Chapter 14: The Reward

When I had pushed the door open, I was a little stunned to see that no one was there. It caught me a little off guard since last time I was out here, there were at least eight others. Not even Erika or Kaitlin were there. I didn't stay long, I got out of there as soon as I could. The streets were a little more difficult than the store. It was only mid-day, and the place was busy. I had no choice but to go the normal way. My idea was working for a good part of the way back, but then I had to stop part way when I felt something moist running up my chest. I shivered visibly as I looked down my shirt and saw Crystal licking my chest! I was about to tell her to stop, but then I caught myself. Any outburst here would have drawn attention as much as Bug-type Pokémon to a fire. Crystal looked up at me and grinned, knowing she was thinking the same thing I was. Either she was still 'in the mood' or she was doing this to toy with me. Either way, I shut my eyes and pinched the bridge of my nose.

I had to endure this almost the entire trip back. I got a few looks from other Pokémon, but I pulled on the vines that were hanging from the coat and hid my face in it. It was a little harder to see everything, but at least I could block them out. I had to restrict my movement speed to make sure I didn't run into anyone by accident. I constantly checked to my left and right to make sure I wasn't going to bump in to anyone. As I went down the street, enduring more licking from Crystal in my shirt, I turned my head to make sure I wasn't going to run into anyone as I was about to turn for the final stretch, but then I saw something black and yellow with red eyes come into my sight. I looked at it for a minute to make sure I was seeing correctly. After a second, there was no doubt I was seeing Sky. The crowd was letting up a little since I was starting to branch off from the main road. I started making my way towards her, hopefully to give me a distraction from Crystal. Once I felt I got within distance for her to hear, I called out for her.

"Sky!" She stopped and turned her head towards me. At first, she didn't recognize me, then when I took off the hood, she looked at me a little shocked.

"Cassius is that you?" I was able to get right beside her, then kneel down a little.

"Of course it's me, do you see anyone else like me around?" Sky looked at me a little weird. I decided to skip ahead. "What are you doing here?"

"I'm heading back home from working as a wildlife ranger for the day." Sky said. "So, I got the rest of the day off." Crystal adjusted a little bit in my shirt, causing some movement. Sky saw this and looked at my stomach, then back up at me concerned. I tried to grin, but I knew there were some things that needed to be explained now. But how was I going to explain it to her without making me sound like an idiot? I motioned for Sky to follow me to the side so I could at least try to explain it. Hopefully I could come up with some way to explain this to her. As we got in an alley way, a little more hidden from the group, I got back down to where she could look at me. Sadly, I had no ideas, so I went with the only thing that could come to mind.

"Just look and see for yourself." I said as I pulled the collar of my shirt. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't flushing red, but as Sky looked down, she for sure saw Crystal, and no doubt she was still licking my chest. Sky looked down at Crystal a little perturbed, then looked up at me. It was obvious she wanted an explanation, but my mind wasn't thinking straight. In fact, it wasn't thinking straight ever since last chapter.

"I... well... she was..." I groaned as I placed a hand on my face. Crystal for the first time stopped licking me and noticed Sky. For once, I could get my nerves back, or so I thought.

"Oh, Sky, how are you doing?" Sky looked at Crystal funny.

"Why are you in there?" Crystal referenced to her coat. Sky looked at Crystal a little confused, then moved her head in a little, but not sticking her head in my collar. After a second, Crystal's face seemed to be hit with a sudden realization.
