Luke: "Mommy?" your daughter, Chrissie shouted through the house and Luke smiled at her. "Mommy's not here baby girl, but i am. What do you need?" your daughter thought about it for a minute before shaking her head. "I'll just wait for mommy." "Can i help you with it?" "Yeah, but i want mommy to help me, sorry daddy!" Luke sat back in the chair and stared after his daughter. "What'd i ever do to you?" he thought just as you walked through the door. "My daughter hates me." he states and you set the bags of groceries down and shake your head at your husband. "Our daughter does not hate you." "All she ever wants is you. She needs help with something, even if i can help her with it, she still wants you to help her with it and not me. She never wants me anymore, she hates me!" You shake your head and sit on Luke's lap on the chair and put his face in your hands. "Luke! Our daughter does not hate you, she's just going through a phase where she's a mommy's girl is all. She'll be back to being a daddy's girl in no time. Let me have some time to enjoy this, it's not going to last forever, she loves you too much for that to happen." Luke nodded and kissed your cheek. "Alright, but you go see what Chrissie wanted, i'll take care of the groceries." "Alright, thanks." and you jumped off his lap and bounded up the stairs for your daughter.

Ashton: Your son raced in the house, all dirty and scratched and Ashton looked him up and down to see if he was alright. "What happened? You alright?" "I fell." "And?" "And i want mommy to come out and play with me." "I can play with you." Ashton offered and your son shook his head. "No thanks. Mommy!" he yelled through the house in search of you and Ashton stood there facing the backyard wondering when his son was all about playiing outside with you instead of him. Just a few minutes later your son ran back outside and you followed a few seconds later. "What's with the face, Ashton?" "You hate playing outside." he says and you nod so he goes on. "Why are you going to play outside now?" "My son wants to play with me." you say as if it was the most obvious thing in the world and at that moment it pretty much was. "Why doesn't he want to play with me? I'm not bashing on you babe, but, i thought boys were supposed to be crazy about playing outside with their dads, not their moms." You put a hand on his cheek and smile at him. "I'll play with him for a little while and then i'll say i'm tired and you have to play with him, he'll be okay because i said it." Ashton nodded and kissed your hand. "Have fun!"

Michael: "Mom! Mom!" the screams of your teenage daughter, Gianna, filled the house and woke Michael up from his nap. "Gia, what's with the yelling?" he asked wiping the sleep from his eyes as he sat up on the couch and saw his daughter bouncing on her heels clearly excited about something that happened. "Where's mom?" "What's wrong with me?" "Your not mom!" she says and looks around for you. "Where is she?" Michael was confused. "Why do you need mom?" "Look dad, i finally got to talk to the guy that i've been crushing on forever and he was nice and sweet and everything and oh my god i really need to talk to mom about this, she'll understand and share my excitement unlike you! Mom!" she stormed past Michael and he just shook his head. "She can't even trust me enough to tell me why she's excited." he mumbled and didn't notice you standing there seeing his sad expression. "Mikey." you pouted and opened your arms and he went into them. "She doesn't trust me. She doesn't like me." You laugh and run your fingers through his hair. "Michael, she's a teenage girl, there are just some things that she has to talk to me about instead of you. When she wants to play video games, she'll talk to you, you know that. She doesn't hate you, she could never hate you, she just needs me right now more then you, she still loves you, she'll always love you!"

Calum: Your five year old son clung to your leg and you walked around the house like a goof, clumping one foot, the one with your son attached and then stepping lightly with your other. "Braden, will you please get off my leg, you're starting to hurt me." you plead but the boy shakes his head "No!" Your eyes find Calum's and he doesn't know what to say. "Braden, leave your mom alone will you? You've been clinging to her all day like she's going to leave you and never come back." "No!" You whimper and fall onto the couch next to Calum, your son finally breaking his hold on your leg and pouting as he looked up at you and Calum on the couch and ran off crying. "I'd love to chase after him and comfort him, but i need a break from him." you say and Calum nods. "Well he's been ignoring me for the past few months so i really dont think i should go after him. He hates me now." You lifted your head from his lap. "He does not hate you, Calum! Why would you say that he does?" "(YN), he ignores me. He goes out of his way to avoid me. He hates me and he's only five years old!" You lay your head back down. "Maybe i'll go out tonight with the girls and you can have a night with your son, alone, sound good?" Calum leaned down and pecked your forehead with a kiss. "It's worth a shot."
