You looked at the clock, sighing in frustration as it blinked

1:45 am.

This was the 5th time this week that Edwin had come home late and to be honest you were sick of it. While he could sleep all day, you had school later that day, and as much as you wanted to sleep and not worry about him. Your motherly instinct and girlfriend instinct bugged you to the ends of the night.

You turned the TV off and made your way to the kitchen to put your cup away. Just as you were about to take the last sip of your water the door opened making you freeze. You looked over to see Edwin stumble over. You put the glass down making your presence known which made Edwin freeze mid-step.

"Have fun?" You asked unamused
"Baby" He slurred
"Don't step another foot closer Edwin you reek of cheap alcohol, perfume and ten cans of clap that ass" you said in disgust
"Come on Babe, don't be like that" he said stepping closer causing you to step back
"I'm gonna ask you a question Edwin, and if you don't answer honestly I'm walking out that door and never comming back" you said sternly
"Edwin, are you cheating on me?" You asked steadily
"What!?" He asked angrily
"You heard me!" You said
"You really honk that low of me Y/N!? You know what all you do is nag... just get the fuck off my dick man" Edwin screamed
"Excuse me!? You know what fuck you Edwin!" You said pushing past him

He grabbed your wrist, tightening his fingers making you wince at the pain. He continued to tighten his fingers around your wrist making you buckle

"Edwin you're hurting me" You chocked out
"This will make you learn to stop this shit" he screamed before landing a steamy slap to your cheek making you fly into the wall

You lay motionless for a moment, scaring Edwin so much so he sobered up. He scooped you up and layed you on the bed. He frantically grabbed the first aid kit, bandaging your now bleeding and bruised wrist and putting a ice pack on your cheek.

40 minutes later you woke up to the sight of a tear stained Edwin sitting at your side stroking your cheek. You backed up

"Babe, I'm so sorry" Edwin cried
"D-don't come any closer" you stuttered "please"
"I've made you scared of me" he whispered
"I'm so sorry Y/N" Edwin said softly
"I-I can't do this Edwin, you can't hit me and emotionally abuse me and expect it all to go away because you're sorry" you said
"But Y/N-
"Get out." You said
"Y-
"Get out Edwin"

Edwin slowly got up and left. Leaving you there. You stared at the wall, absorbing the past few hours.

4am.

Your phone began ringing beside you. It was your best friend, Alexys. You picked it up and listened

"Hey Y/N, you okay?" She asked

That's when you broke down. You began crying, letting out 2 years you and Edwin had been together, all the bullshit you had been putting up with.

"He-he hit me"
