Prologue/Description

"Over the years, if I've discovered anything, it's that life is a lot like a puzzle.

There are so many people, places and things that make up who you are.

Memories, heartbreaks, lessons.

Just like pieces of a puzzle.

And just when I felt like my life was perfect, it took a sudden turn.

I realized that though my family and friends were great, they weren't everything I thought I needed and it turns out I was right.

Just like life, puzzles have a tendency to be a little scattered, completely unorganized and once in a great while you discover you're missing a piece.

Without that particular piece, life or in some cases the puzzle isn't as beautiful as it has the potential to be and in my case that missing piece was a person, several actually.

One person that I never knew I needed and one person that gave me so many amazing things.

A person who kept me sane and loved me even when I didn't deserve it.

They kept me going and kept me happy and taught me what it truly means to love and be loved.

Then, when you finally find your missing piece, everything changes.

I never knew that my missing piece would bring me so many great things.

I never knew that it would completely change who I am and make me a better person.

The thing about missing pieces is that you never know you need them until you do."

Description:

Katniss Everdeen is sixteen years old.

She feels life is going great with her family, friends and life in general, but things take a sudden turn for her, the night before her first day as a junior in high school. With a lot of thinking, Katniss realizes she's missing something. She realizes that she has a missing piece in her life and she doesn't know what or who it is, why she needs them and has no idea the effect they'll have on her.

This is the story of how Katniss Everdeen finds the missing piece of her life.
