Peeta POV-
I bring my glass of water to my lips and take a drink just as Finnick asks, "So, are you two planning on getting married anytime soon?"
I choke on the water as it travels down my esophagus, it spews all over the top of Katniss's head and I want to run.
Not because of the question but because of the choking part.
It's gonna make her think that I don't want to get married.
It wasn't that, it was the randomness of the question.
Did Finnick really just ask that?
Honestly, I don't know when we will get married but I know eventually we will.
I would marry her right now but I know that now is unfortunately, not the right time.
We just graduated and we are heading off to college soon and I don't think we want to plan a wedding in less than three months, or while we are away.
And Katniss and I need time to live our own lives, even if we do live together.
I just think that we aren't completely ready yet and sadly, things could change but I want to marry her soon-just at least not until all this college drama dies down.
Maybe after we graduate college?
We are both only staying two years anyways.
Katniss looks up at me and gives me a look.
"I think we are going to wait a little longer. What about you two?" She asks with an edge in her voice.
Thank you, Katniss.
If I had to say something, I might've said something wrong and upset Katniss more.
"Well, we're not sure but I'm sure once we get to Four, we will." Finnick answers and pats Annie's hand.
Annie smiles happily at him.
"Oh, that is great." Katniss beams but you can hear the agitation in her voice.
We eat dinner and then gather in the living room again.
"Peeta, you look really tired. Do want to go on to bed and I'll be there soon?" Katniss asks giving me a 'You better do what I say' look.
At first I don't get it and then I realize she is trying to get them to leave.
"Yes, I am feeling a little weak so I better go lay down. I'll see you both soon. Thank you for coming over tonight." I smile tiredly, patting Finnick on the back and getting up.
"Bye, Peetie." Finnick says.
"I hope you get to feeling better soon, Peeta." Annie says.
"Thank you, Annie. Goodnight." I say.
Just as I walk down the hall, I turn around,
"Don't be too long, please?" I tell Katniss, knowing it'll help her get them gone faster.
She's probably going to gripe me out for choking on my water or not saying anything at all.
I go into the bedroom and lay down, waiting on Katniss and a few minutes later she comes in.
"They left." She says with a sigh of relief.
"Why'd you want them gone?" I ask her, laughing.
She rolls her eyes, "Because whether he meant to or not, he made me uncomfortable. I love them but sometimes Finnick pisses me off. I don't like when people ask about us stuff like that." Katniss says angrily.
