Chapter Eighty

Katniss POV- (That evening)

I hear a knock on the door.

It's Finnick and Annie.

"I'll get it." Peeta says and begins to get up.

"Nope, sit." I say, getting up and pushing Peeta back down on the couch.

I run to the door.

I open the door and find two of my best friends standing there, smiling.

"Kat, I missed you so much!" Annie squeals and hugs me tightly.

"I missed you too!" I say truthfully.

"It's only been two weeks." Peeta laughs, as he comes up behind me and puts his hand on my shoulder.

"Peeta!" Finnick squeals and practically dives into Peeta's arms.

"Finny!" Peeta gasps.

Annie and I, who are now used to their childish behavior, just shake our heads and laugh.

"It's only been two weeks." Annie and I mimic Peeta in unison.

Peeta puts Finnick back onto the ground and Finnick sticks his tongue out at us.

"Finnick, you better be nice." Annie scolds him for once.

I can't help but to laugh, it's so unlike her.

"I was just kidding, Annie. Kitty Kat, come here!" Finnick says.

I walk over and embrace him in a brotherly hug.

I really love Finnick's and I relationship.

We are like brother and sister and we are extremely protective of one another.

We have known each other since we were four-years old, so that's probably why.

"Nice to see you." Finnick says, ruffling my hair.

I roll my eyes and walk over to Peeta.

I wrap my arms around him and stand on my tiptoes to whisper something into his ear.

"You are suppose to be resting. Go sit on the couch, please?" I whisper sweetly.

I don't want anything else to happen to Peeta and he promised to listen to me. He gives me an 'are you serious?' look and I nod to let him know that I am serious.

"Let's go sit down and catch up." I suggest, not wanting Peeta to feel left out.

Finnick and Annie sit on the couch.

Peeta sits in a chair and I sit on the floor, leaning up against his legs for support, he plays with my hair while we all visit about our latest happenings.

"Finnick and I are actually moving to District Four in a few weeks." Annie tells us.

My heart sinks.

I am beyond happy for them but I'm going to miss them both so much, especially throughout the rest of the summer while Peeta and I are still here.

"That is so great, I am so happy for you both." I say happily.

"It will be a lot of fun, I'm so excited." Annie says, taking Finnick's hand.

"I am so happy for you two. We will be in Five soon so that isn't too far." I say looking up at Peeta.

"That will be great, you guys. You two should come visit when we get settled in." Finnick says.

"Oh yeah. Katniss and I were actually planning on taking a little road trip after I get better and more rested up. So, that will be a good opportunity to visit you." Peeta says excitedly.

"Awesome, I'll get to see Peetie on the beach!" Finnick grins.

"Oh, I'm sure you can't wait." I smart off to Finnick.

Finnick rolls his eyes at me.

"Oh hush, we both know you can't wait to see your man shirtless."

"If we are being totally honest, neither of you can wait to see me shirtless." Annie jokes.

"I hate to say it, but you're so right." Finnick laughs.

It's none of their business but, I have in fact seen Peeta shirtless.

"I'll warn you now, there's not much to anticipate." Peeta teases us.

I laugh, shaking my head at him.

"This place looks so cute, Katniss." Annie tells me, glancing around the living room.

"Thank you." I smile.

"When did you move in here?"

I laugh and look up at Peeta.

"Two days ago."

"Wow. You got everything over here fast."

"We got it done in one day. I mean we've been packing since we decided this but we got it all fixed up the day we moved in." I say.

"You two should help us move." Finnick laughs.

"You're hired." Annie says.

"As fun as that sounds..." I laugh.

Annie laughs, "I agree. I love them both but we can do it just fine."

"I was just suggesting it." He laughs.

Peeta and I laugh too.

"Sorry, Buddy but you're probably on your own." Peeta tells him.

"That's alright, Peetie. You're too handsome for me to make you work. Katniss should appreciate your looks more."

I chuckle and shake my head.

Peeta laughs, "She just makes me work in other ways."

I snort, "Oh, whatever!" I laugh, playfully slapping his leg.

Finnick bursts out laughing, "You two aren't innocent, are you?"

"Yes, we are! You're not though." I say, knowing for a fact.

"No, my Annie is too beautiful for me to be innocent."

Annie rolls her eyes and I laugh a little.

How does she put up with him?

I know I couldn't do it.

I love Finnick but he needs a filter on his mouth.

"So, are you two planning on getting married anytime soon?"
