A few weeks later
Here I am standing in my University with my newly discovered self. I would not say it was easy and I certainly have not forgotten the old Layken, the miserable, helpless Layken but I have put my broken pieces together in a new way making me a Layken who can live, who can breathe and who will make a difference. I stand here with a new mindset hoping to make use of the second Chance I've been given in this life and cherish it because not everyone in this universe gets another chance and just like Ryle says "we all have big changes in our lives that are more or less a second chance and if you are lucky enough to get it don't waste it" and I will certainly not waste it.
With this new thought I enter the University Gates. As it's the start of a new semester so there are going to be a lot of new students so I hope I can be friends with someone. With this lingering thoughts I was walking down the hallway when I bumped into someone.
"Ouch!" we both cried as our books fall simultaneously.
"I am so sorry I wasn't looking" I apologized.
"No! It is fine I was not looking either" she replied as she helped me pick the books up. I did the same.
And oh! She is so much pretty, hell look at her hair and her eyes.
"By the way I am Alondra." she added breaking my thoughts.
So creepy, I was staring. Oh god! Layken.
"Uh! Right. Well I am Layken.......Are you new here?"
"Yes actually today is my first day and I was kind of finding my class." She say looking here and there still trying to find traces of her class.
"How about you give me your schedule so I can help you out with that." I say.
"Sounds great". With this she hands me her schedule and after studying it I come to know that we share almost every class.
Maybe, just maybe, God is giving me a clear chance.
"Well we are both in the same classes Allon." I say while handing her, her schedule back.
"Amazing. You called me Allon right?" she tease.
Did I just call her by a nickname? Oh lord.
"By the way I am so sorry by calling you with that name. I am stupid." I say.
"I never said that I didn't like it. Perhaps no one called me with that name before. I liked it." She smile.
Her smile.
"How about you show me our class. I am actually not looking forward for the detention on my first day."
"Haha! Right.
With this we both went to our class and as much as it seems strange I would say that after what seems like ages I didn't get bore at all. In fact today was good.
Turned out that Allon is a very crazy girl who loves stuff toys, watch Disney movies and won't let anyone have a single bite from her chocolate. She impressed me by saying that she can run in 6 inch pencil heels. And I was shocked to know that she is afraid of sleeping with lights off. She hate darkness.
I told her something about myself as well like how much I love insects and would like to become an entomologist if literature wasn't my first priority. She was scared of me saying "oh my fries. You are so creepy layken. Insects? Ugh. We both can never live together. I would slap you hard on your ass if you pick up a cockroach and run after me. I would die with panic." And I laughed. And we shared some more little tid bits.
