Chapter 5

It's been a couple of weeks since the table situation but, everything is starting to change.

In a good way.

I have been hanging with Noah a lot and we got closer.

Meanwhile, Jay and Jenna got a lot closer as well.

Jay finally became a man and asked her out.

I'm happy for them they are perfect for each other.

I still haven't talked to Drew since that night at the beach but whatever.

He started talking to Brittany.

So I'm guessing what happened at the beach meant nothing to him.

Anyway, Homecoming is coming up and I'm so excited.

Good thing the game and the dance aren't on the same day because I would have to hurry to get ready.

I think I will be going alone this year.

Drew's going with Brittany which isn't a shocker, Jay and Jenna are going together of course.

Last but not least Noah.

He found a date she's gorgeous.

Her name is Ella she has strawberry blonde hair and is on the cheer team.

So I obviously already love her, she's one of the girls on the team that doesn't like to cause drama.

Anyway, I don't have a date so I guess I'm gonna solo.

Jenna and I are going to pick out our dresses today which is exciting.

I don't know what style dress I want. Let's just say I want to look good, maybe show Drew what he's missing.

So Jenna and I went dress shopping and I picked out a two-piece dress if you know what I mean.

It's maroon with lace on the sides and it's a little tight.

But it flatters my body shape perfectly. I walked out of the dressing room and there sat Jenna in shock.

"Girl you look good." She said smiling.

"Thanks! I think this is the one." I said.

Jenna agreed so now it was Jenna's turn to try on dresses. Jenna got a dress just like mine but her's is dark blue. She opened the dressing room door and did a spin.

"Jenna you look so pretty," I said
"Thanks! Let's hope that Jay likes it." She said smiling.

It's been a week since Jenna and I bought our dresses. Homecoming is tomorrow and I can't wait. I'm going by myself sadly but that's okay.

Tonight is the big game!! School just ended and I'm headed to Cheer practice. I walk into the locker room and the rest of the Cheer team was waiting.

"So guys tonight's the big game. Are you guys excited?" I said looking at everyone.

The rest of the team screamed YESSSS!

"Tonight has to be perfect because there are going to be other cheerleaders there so we have to make sure we look good alright," I said.

Everyone nodded and Jenna started to speak,
"So if we win this game tonight, the guys came up with something."

Everyone looked confused especially me. Then Jenna continued,
"Well, when you get to the dance tomorrow they are going to introduce a football player and a cheerleader. You are going to walk in together."

"So do we get to choose who we walk in with," I asked hoping she was gonna say yes.

"Nope the guys wanted to choose," Jenna said with a smile.

She walked over to the bulletin board and put the list on the board. I looked up and it showed Captains. I stopped looking when I saw my name, I looked next to it, and of course, it said Drew Slater.
I walked over to Jenna with a really look.

"What?" She said confused.

"I'm paired up with Drew!" I said a little too loud.

"I didn't do it. Like I said earlier the guy picked who they wanted to be paired up with. I wasn't involved I just got the list from Jay." She said.

"Ugh. It's going to be awkward." I said.

"Try not to make it awkward and you will be fine." She said while giving me a hug.

"I'll try," I said with a smile.

Jenna started walking over to the rest of the cheer team.

"Girls make sure you're here by five. Because I wanna get a little warm-up in before the game." Said Jenna.

"Practice is over," I said.

I grabbed all my things and put my headphones in and started walking to my car. I got closer to my car and someone was leaning against it.

As I reached my car I said,

"What do you want?"
