The game was just about to start.

The announcer on the side of the field started talking. You could hear him through the speakers perfectly.

"Is everyone ready?!" The announcer screamed into the mic.

Everyone in the crowd started screaming. The bleachers were packed. I'm pretty sure the whole school was here.

Edgewater has a great fan section. There were posters and people dressed in our school colors.

Green and White.

The announcer started talking again,

"So let's have a warm welcome for our cheerleaders."

We all ran onto the field shaking our pom-poms. Then we walked over to the big banner.
There are cheerleaders on both sides of the banner.

"Now let's welcome, your Edgewater Eagles." The announcer screamed.

All the football players ran through the banner.

I saw Drew and he had a huge smirk on his face.

Classic Drew.

Jay was fired up. It honestly made me laugh. I never saw him like this before.

Then, on the other hand, there was Noah. He ran out like an idiot but, it's okay he looked happy.

Now, this is when the show begins.

Drew gave me the "You ready" look.

I nodded.

The announcer started to talk again, "So since this is the Homecoming game, we would like to recognize our captains.

"Drew Slater and Delilah Dawson."

Someone in the fan section yelled,
"Date already."

He's gonna be happy in a minute.

This is it.

The school photographer came over and took our picture.

Just like he said in the plan.

There was a little change in plans the mascot brought out the sign and flowers.

Everyone in the crowd was confused.

Drew took the sign and flowers from our mascot and patted him on the back. The announcer guy came up to us with a mic. He shoved it in Drew's face first.

Drew got on one knee and said into the mic,

"Lilah I know I should have asked you earlier but I was being an idiot. Anyway, will you be my girlfriend and go to Homecoming with me."

A smile started to form on my face.

"Yes!!" I said screaming.

I jumped up into Drew's arms to make it look even more believable. He spun me around and we looked so cute.

He set me down and everyone was screaming and cheering for us. The guys on the team were yelling "Get it."

Well everyone except Jay.

The announcer started to talk again,

"Well wasn't that lovely, anyway everyone stand for the national anthem.

Everyone stood while the National anthem played.

When the anthem was over the game was ready to begin.

We started doing our cheers.

I was about to start my favorite cheer. I looked at the girls to make sure they were ready. They all nodded.

"Fired up," I said starting the call.

Then the rest of the team and I clapped.

"Let's get fired up." We all yelled.

Then we all clapped four times.

Then we just repeated that three more times.

Once the cheer was over we all yelled go, team.

Drew really had his head in the game. He didn't make any unsuccessful passes all night.

He was on fire.

So was Jay he caught all of Drew's passes and ran to make a touchdown.

Jay has always been a great running back.

At half time the score was 21 to 12.

We did our half time performance and it was awesome. Everyone did so well.

Everyone cheered for us and then the game started again.

Drew and Jay were still on fire.

Drew threw the ball to Noah and he caught it and started running down the field. I was getting so excited for Noah this could be his first touchdown of the season.

He was running and dodging all the other teams' players. He was doing great. He ran and scored a touchdown everyone was so happy.

The score was now 35 to 21. With a minute left.

We were gonna win.

The clock stopped and the buzzer went off.

Everyone started jumping up and down.

The team had to go and shake the other team's hands.

After that Drew came over to me and I jumped into his arms again and I said,

"Wow, you were on fire."

"That's all because of you babe," Drew said.
