Chapter 17

I just looked at him.

"Yeah I guess." I said.

Drew drags me to the back of the Surf Hut where only employees are allowed.

"So what do you want." I said trying not to make eye contact.

"I wanted to talk about us." He said grabbing my hands.

"Why. You moved on and so have I." I said getting out of his hold.

"You're wrong though." He said grabbing my hands again.

"How." I said starting to get irritated.

"I haven't moved on." He said while looking into my eyes.

"Well I have. I'm with Max now." I said stepping back.

"You know that's not gonna last. He's a player Delilah and you know that." He said starting to get irritated.

"You shouldn't even be talking." I said firing back.

He clenched his jaw and then I knew he was mad.

"You know I'm not like that." He said yelling.

"Oh really." I said staring at him.

"Ok how." He said getting irritated.

"The night we broke up you're already all over Brittany. If that's not being a player I don't know what is." I said standing there with a smirk on my face.

"So that's what this is about. I don't like Brittany. She was just a rebound." He said kinda yelling still.

"I'm done with this conversation." I turned around and started to walk away when Drew grabbed my arm.

"Please don't go I'm sorry for yelling. It's just.......I miss you ok. I don't know why I broke up with you in the first place. I'm an idiot." He said looking very sad.

I just looked at him. I had no idea what to say. I was having all sorts of emotion. Part of me wanted to forgive Drew but the other half wanted to just tell him to leave me alone.

Why are guys so confusing?

"I want to get back together will you give me a second chance ." He said smiling.

"Drew I'm with Max now." I said.

"Well are you officially dating?" He said.

"No." I said.

"Then at least think about it." He said grabbing my hands.

"Ok." I Said blankly.

It's been about an hour since Jenna and I got home from the beach.

We were getting ready to go to her house for the pool party.

It was time to find another bikini.

Great.

I decided on a sage green bikini that was the same style as the one I wore to the beach.

Max has arrived and he is looking better than ever.

We headed over to Jenna's house.

Max and I were walking into the house hand in hand. He was leading me through the house to the back yard. The house was pretty full. A lot more people came then I thought they would.

Of course sitting there next to Drew was Brittany.

I tried to keep my eye roll to myself but that didn't work.

"So you want something to drink." Max said heading towards the coolers.

"Yeah thanks." I said while kissing his cheek.

I'm really starting to like Max. I'm hoping he will ask me out soon but I don't know.

"Delilah over here." Noah said telling me to come over.

Noah was siting at the edge of the in ground pool.

"Hey how are you? I literally haven't seen you in a while." I said smiling while giving him a hug.

"Good. Yeah I know. I miss my best friend." He said giving me another hug.

" Awe I missed you too." I said making a sad face.

"So have you seen Jenna." I said looking around the pool area.

"Nah she's with Jay. They went to get food." He said getting into the pool and pulling me with him.

"Noah!" I scream.

I fell into the pool. Of course it was the deep end so I have fully submerged.

I came up of the water and was ready to attack him when Max came over.

"You look hot when you're hair's wet babe." Max said blushing.

"Thanks." I said while reaching for my drink.

I get out of the pool and decide to get my tan on. I put some tanning lotion on and head towards the cute pool chairs. Max came over and was tanning with me.

I heard heels coming towards my direction.

You know what that means.

Brittany.

Great.

"Hey Delilah I didn't know you were invited since you're not dating a guy on the team." Said Brittany smirking.

"Max invited me." I said keeping my eyes closed.

"Why?" She said confused.

" I don't know. Why don't you ask him." I said now flipping sides to get an equal tan.

"I invited her because I like her. But it's none of you're business." He said clearly irritated.

"Anyway what are you doing here you aren't dating anyone either." I said finally opening my eyes.

"Drew invited since he asked me out like an hour ago." She said smirking.

"Cool." I said.

"Aren't you jealous." She said trying to get me to react.

"Um no. I really don't wanna date a player. But you guys are perfect for each other. Now can you leave us alone. I said while closing my eyes again.

She looked at Max.

" You heard her. Leave." He said getting irritated.

She then turned and stumped away toward Drew's direction.

"You're hot when you're mad." Max said staring at me.

" I know." I said then pecked his lips.
