Chapter 24

There was Drew siting in his Range Rover.

Like how am I so lucky.

"Hey you look beautiful."

"Awe thanks." I said blushing.

I was wearing a white tank top with a tie in the front and some grey pants.

Drew started backing out of my driveway.

He grabbed my hand and was holding it with his while the other hand was driving.

"So Jenna's coming home tomorrow."

"Oh really I miss her so much. Did she like her trip at Yale." I said looking at my phone.

"Yes. That's what she applied to. That's where her hearts set I think if she doesn't get accepted she's gonna cry."

"Awe I hope she does. I bet she misses Jay."

"Haha. Yeah she was saying how much she missed him and I tried so hard not to barf like that's my bro you're talking about."

"Haha." I started laughing so hard.

"I was wondering if you could help me with Calculus homework after school.

"Yeah no problem."

We arrived at school.

Yay! Note the sarcasm.

I grab my bag and walk to the back of the car to wait for Drew.

He comes over and wraps his arm around my waist and pulls me close.

I just look at him and smile.

It's gonna be a great day. Today's the first day without Brittany.

We walk to my locker and Drew's leaning on my locker and here comes Courtney.

"Here comes thing 2." Drew says rolling his eyes.

"Hey Delilah. I was wondering if we can talk."

"Yeah sure."

Drew looked at me like good luck.

He leaned in and gave me a kiss. Then we parted our own ways.

"So what did you wanna talk about." I said looking at Courtney.

" I wanted to say sorry for being so mean to you and Jenna I feel terrible." She said looking down.

"It's ok. I never really had a problem with you it was mostly Brittany."

"Yeah about her. Um... we aren't friends anymore."

"Oh the whole Drew thing?"

"No she's mad because I was trying to help you and Drew's relationship."

"Why does she hate me so much? I never did anything to her."

"Not what she says. She doesn't like you because one, you're really pretty and all the guys want you. Two because you're Cheer Captain and you're only a Junior when she's a senior. It's kinda sad in my opinion. Anyway, three she doesn't like how you and Drew have a good connection. Like you always have been friends and she was jealous. She knew that everyone knew that you guys liked each other so she could never have a chance with him."

"Awe I kinda feel bad for her now."

"You're also so nice like if this was the other way around Brittany would be laughing at you. I don't understand why I was friends with her."

"Yeah true."

"I was wondering if you wanted to start over and maybe be friends."

"Yeah that sounds good."

We walked into Chem together right before the bell rang.

It was lunch and I walk over to the table with Courtney.

Drew pulls out a chair so I can sit and he says,

"What's thing two doing here."

"We're friends now so she's sitting here."

"Oh." Drew said.

Everyone was pretty chill with Courtney sitting here expect Drew. He kept giving Courtney weird looks.

The final bell rang and school was finally over I walked with Drew to his car so he could drive me home.

He pulled in my driveway and said,

"Can I come over at 6"

"Yeah see you then." I said smiling.

Drew didn't kiss me goodbye.

He always does.

Ok Delilah don't overthink it. He maybe just forgot.

I went in my room and sat on my bed and starting working on Chem homework.

It was nice outside so I opened a window and I could hear Drew talking.

"I don't know what time. I have to be at Delilah's at 6:00 so I got plenty of time." He said.

I thought why does he always talk so loud when he's on the phone.

I got back to my bed and continued doing my homework.

"Delilah's gonna be mad if she finds out. So we can't tell her. Plus it will ruin our relationship. And I don't really want Jay and Jenna on my butt about this so you not better say anything.

Who was he talking to.

About two hours pass and it's 4:30.

I heard someone yelling so I look out my window and there is Drew with............,
