Chapter 11

So Drew and I decided that maybe it's the best to break up. So that's what we're doing. We decided to break up after the homecoming dance so we can at least have a date.

Drew and I agreed not to tell anyone until after homecoming.

Ella and Noah came over around 10 last night like they said they were.

I'm currently getting ready! I'm so excited!

Noah's getting ready with Jay.

Jenna was supposed to come over but I guess she's not.

Anyway, Ella and I got these cute robes that are like a silky material and are rose gold. They are so cute.

Ella's currently doing my makeup because she's literally a God at it.

She's doing a natural makeup look because I don't wanna look to glammed up.

Then she's doing my hair in braid crown kinda thing. It's hard to explain but it looks so cute.

After we finally finished getting dressed I heard Jay scream,

"Delilah, Drew's here."

I looked at Ella. She smiled and said,

"Let's go!"

I opened my bedroom door and started to walk towards the stairs. The guys were downstairs.

Ella and I started walking down that stairs.

Drew and Noah's eyes lit up once they saw us.

Drew's wearing a black button-up shirt and pants with a maroon tie.

"You look gorgeous," Drew said grabbing my hand and spinning me around.

"Awe thanks, babe. You look very handsome," I said smiling giving him a peck on the lips.

I felt freaking sparks when I kissed him. I never felt this with anyone else. I hope he felt it too.

But I can't think like this I need to stop. Drew and I are breaking up tonight I can't get too attached.

Jay breaks up my thoughts by saying,

"Jenna's here"

I looked at Drew and he looked at me.

He whispers "Everything's gonna be fine don't worry."

I looked at him and grabbed his hand.

We all walked outside and got ready to take pictures with the photographer. Drew and I got some pictures of just him and I. Jay suggested that we girls should get one so we did. To be honest it was kinda awkward. But it's fine. I got one with Jay and it was funny. I looked in his coat pocket and he has a bag. I thought to myself you got to be kidding me.

He had a little ziplock bag of cheese puffs in his coat pocket. I looked at Jay and pulled him out of the way so other people could get pictures.

"Jay, why do you have cheese puffs in your pocket?" I said while trying to be serious but I couldn't help it.

"What?! You know I can't leave without my cheese puffs," Jay said seriously.

"Also I'm keeping a bag in my car because I'm gonna run out in my little bag." He said looking at his bag.

"Alright," I said laughing uncontrollably.

My parents just pulled into the driveway.

"I'm happy you guys made it," I said walking over to my parents.

" We wouldn't miss it for the world Princess," My dad said giving me a big hug.

My dad has called me Princess since I was 3.

"So who's your date this year sweetheart," Said my mom giving me a big hug.

I called Drew over and I said,

"Drew Slater," I said smiling.

"Nice to see you guys again," Drew said to my parents.

"Nice to see you too," My dad said smiling.

My dad has said why don't you date Drew or Drew's cute why don't you date him. I bet he's happy.

"I see Jay finally has a date," Dad said joking.

"Shut up dad," Said Jay turning red.

"So are you guys ready to go?" Jay asked.

We all say "yes" in unison.

I hop in Drew's Range Rover.

He grabs my hand and intertwined our fingers. I was about to start crying. But I gotta keep it in.

Drew noticed.

"What's wrong?" He said very concerned.

"Nothing," I said looking about the window.

"There's something wrong I know you. What is it?" He said looking at me for a quick second.

"I don't want to break up. I wanted this for so long. And now we have it but you want to break up." I said trying not to cry because I don't wanna ruin my makeup.

"I know. But you wanted to break up too. Don't put this on me." He said starting to get irritated.

"I only said that because I thought that's what you wanted?" I said looking at him.

He let go of my hand and just looked straight ahead.

The rest of the car ride was silent. We arrived and he got out and he didn't even wait for me. I got out and he was already walking inside. I was almost at the door when someone touched my shoulder. My eyes started to water and I felt a tear run down my cheek. I turned around and see Jenna. She gave me a huge hug.

"I'm so sorry for not being a good friend," She said almost crying.

"It's fine you were just looking out for me," I said hugging her back.

"Where's Drew?" She asked looking around.

"He already walked in," I said trying to smile but it's hard.

"Were you crying?" She said concerned.

"No. We better get in there," I said smiling.

"Did Drew do anything?" She said starting to get angry.

"No everything's fine," I say.

I start walking and Jenna's running to keep up with me. I walked in and there Drew talking to Brittany. Great.
