Chapter 1

I'm Delilah Dawson, I live with my parents Josh and Danielle.

Can't forget my annoying older brother Jay. He's one of the overprotective type. Every time I even mention a boy, he's like no he isn't good for you or if he breaks your heart I'm going to kill him.

Even though he's like this I still love him more than anything.

My family has always been rich. We have this big house with tons of rooms we don't use, which I don't understand what the point of that is. We have expensive cars, and name brand clothes that most people can't afford. I live in a development with a ton of huge houses like mine. All of the people in my development think their better than everyone expect the Slater's. They live next door, David and Joy, they have two kids, Drew and Jenna. Jenna and I have been friends since I can even remember. Jay and Drew are the same way, but there is something different about Drew, he's not annoying. I always had a crush on him. He's so dreamy just look at him. He could have any girl he wants. He's captain of the football team and the quarterback so, of course all the girls drool over him.

We attend Edgewater high, today is the first day of my junior year.

I got up around six-thirty because it takes me forever to get ready in the morning.

I got up and brushed my teeth and got dressed into a grey crop top, some high waisted light blue jean shorts and my white high top converse, can't forget my tan cardigan.

I would like to not get dressed coded on the first day of school.

I put on mascara, light eyeshadow, and filled in my eyebrows.

I started to walk down the stairs and I smelled eggs and bacon. My mom was cooking food and dad was sitting at the kitchen island reading the newspaper and eating breakfast.

"Good morning sweetheart," said Dad.

"Morning Dad, where's Jay"? I looked around and couldn't find him.

"He's probably still sleeping. Wanna go wake him up?" Mom asked.

I ran up the stairs and knocked on his door, no answer so, I just looked in and he's still sleeping. I went in and took one of the pillows and started hitting him with it.

"Jay! Wake up!" I yelled.

"What day is it?" he asked confused.

"It's Monday. Get up your going to be late". I said then walked out of his room.

I went down stairs and started eating breakfast.

When I was done Jay comes down the stairs grabs a piece of toast and his car keys and walks out the door.

I said goodbye to mom and dad and grabbed my keys and headed for the garage.

I got in my dark brown Range Rover, and I drive over to Jenna's house.

"Hey girl". She says getting in the car.

"Hey" I said.

"How does it feel to be the new cheerleading captain?" Jenna asks.

"Good I guess, " I said laughing.

We pulled up to school and there he is.
