Chapter 28

"I know it's kinda fast but, I was wondering if you wanted to go on a date Friday night?"

"Yes I would love too." I said smiling real big.

"Ok great!! See you at school tomorrow." He said then got in his car.

Omg I'm going on date with someone who actually likes me.

It feels like Freshman year all over again.

I get in my car and drive home.

I pull up to my house and it's all dark.

Is nobody home?

I park my car in the garage and walk into my house.

I was kinda scared because Jay didn't tell me he was going anywhere so I grabbed a wrench that I saw in the garage.

I open the door slightly and turn on the light.

Nobodies there

I walk back to the garage to put the wrench back.

I walk back in and I like jump.

"Omg you scared the crap out of me." I said looking at Jade.

"Sorry I didn't mean to scare you." She said hugging me.

"Where's everyone."

"Sav went somewhere with Noah and Jays still at Baseball."

"Awe you were home alone."

"Well not really. I had my cheese balls and Netflix." She said laughing.

"Whatcha watching?"

"Fuller House. Wanna watch it with me? I can set it up in the living room while you get a shower because you smell." She said holding her nose.

"Thanks Jade."

I walk up the stairs and into my room I get into the shower and change into some grey Edgewater sweatpants and a loose white crop top.

I walk downstairs and there's Jade on her phone waiting patiently.

We watched it for hours until it was 10:30 and I noticed Jade was asleep.

I picked her up and her cheese puffs and tucked her into bed. I closed her door because I don't know if Jay's coming home and he can be loud lol.

I walk into my bedroom and call Jenna.

"Hey, is Jay still with you?"

"Yes. He's staying over."

"Oh ok."

"So how was practice."

"Good, thanks how was yours."

"Good I guess. I'm really sore."

"Awe I'm sorry."

"So you excited for your birthday."

"Yeah but it's not till next Friday."

"So."

"I ready know what I'm getting you."

"Oh really."

"Yep."

"So are you gonna tell me."

"Sorry what is it Jay. Sorry Delilah I gotta go."

Then she hangs up.

Rude!!!

Whatever I'm gonna lay in my bed and watch Netflix.

Tuesday.

So I woke up this morning and I don't feel like going to school but I guess I have too.

I walk over to my closet.

I pick out a white long sleeve crop top with big sleeves. It also ties in the front. Cute right?! I  paired that with a cute black and white checkered shirt.

You're girl looking cute.

I walk out my door and Jade's already dressed and eating cereal.

"You almost ready to go."

"Yeah." She said while putting her bowl in the sink.

"Is it ok if Max comes and picks us up."

"Yeah no problem."

We hear a car horn so we go out and see Max's black Range Rover.

We reach the car and get in.

"Hey."

"Hey." Max said smiling.

"Dude is this the girl you've been constantly talking about." This boy I don't know said in the back.

"Dude shut up." Max said blushing.

I turn around to look at the boy.

"So who are you?"

"I'm Dylan, Max's younger brother."

"Max why did you tell me you have a little brother." I said turning to Max.

"I didn't think it was important."

"I'm right here." Dylan said clearly irritated.

We reached the Middle school where Jade and Dylan go to school.

"Bye weirdo." Max said roughing Dylan's hair.

"Hey I need my hair nice for the ladies." Dylan said fixing his hair.

Jade started to blush.

Ooo I think somebody has a crush.

Dylan waits for Jade to get out of the car and they walk in together.

"Their so cute." I said watching them walk in.

"I know. I think he likes her."

"Really?!"

"Yeah he always talked about a Jade Dawson but I never put two and two together. Jade's Savanna's sister right?"

"Yeah my parents are gonna adopt her and Savanna soon since they're living with us."

"Oh, I know it's not my place to ask but I'm gonna ask anyway but what happened to their parents."

"They died in a car accident when we were younger. So they went to live with our grandmother in Florida but she was getting too old to take care of them. Plus Savanna wanted some free space since Jade and her had to share a room. So my mom was like why don't they move in with us since we have extra rooms."

"Awe I'm sorry for you're lose."

I just smiled at him.

We reached school.

"So I'll see you after practice." He said smiling real big.

"Yep." I said then gave him a kiss on the check and walked to my locker.

"So when were you going to tell me about you and Max."
