Chapter 25

Max?!

Omg what is he doing there.

I can't look. I don't want him to think I'm stalking.

I continue to do my homework.

"So did you tell her."Max said.

"No."

"Why not. Drew she needs to know."

"Jay and Jenna aren't going to talk to me for forever if they find out."

"Well if you're not going to tell her than I am."

Max said heading towards Drew's bedroom door.

"How do you know she's gonna believe you."

"I never gave her a reason not too."

Max said walking out the door.

Drew was pacing around his room until he looked out his window and saw me.

He froze.

We just stood there like that until my doorbell rang. Then Drew ran out of his bedroom.

I walked down the stairs and there's Jay talking to Max.

"Come in." Jay said opening the door then locking it.

"Max what are you doing here." I asked.

I knew why he was here I just didn't want to say anything.

"Can we talk in private." He said turning to Jay.

"My cheese puffs and I will be upstairs if you need us." Jay grabbed his bag and headed upstairs.

"So.... Do you want something to drink?" I said trying to take away the tension.

"Water please."

I walked over to the fridge and handed him a bottle of water.

"So what do you wanna talk about." I said leaning against my kitchen island.

"I don't know how to say this so I'm just gonna say it. Drew doesn't actually like you. Brady and some of the guys on the team dared Drew to date you."

"What?!"

"I'm so sorry."

"Wait so how long has this been going on."

"A little before Homecoming."

"Omg so basically the whole time."

"Yeah pretty much."

"Thanks for telling me."

"Yeah Jay, Noah and I weren't involved. I always had a crush on you I'm just not really boyfriend material." He said with a chuckle.

"Yes you are. The short time we were dating it was better than Drew and I's relationship."

"Haha I believe that."

"So how's Brittany and the baby."

"Turns out it isn't mine either." He said laughing.

"Does she know whose it is."

"Yeah some 20 year olds apparently."

"She's ridiculous." I said laughing why shaking my head.

"We should hang out sometime."

"Yeah. Well I better go "break up" with Drew. I said using my fingers to make air quotations.

"Yeah text me after." He said walking out.

I walk Max to the door and I head towards Drew's house.

I knock on the door.

I wait and there isn't an answer.

I knock again.

Still no answer.

I knock again then there's Drew.

"We need to talk."
