Tonight, a chapter brought to you straight from Tuscany, a chapter that I poured my heart to. I don't usually use lyrics from the musical on a big scale, but tonight it felt necessary. There's a thing that can not be described better... but you will see once you read it. Ready your handkerchiefs and don't be afraid to cry, laugh, love and comment.
I love you all so much!

———Chapter 57.
I couldn't stop thinking of what Courfeyrac has told me. He wasn't engaged ... he wasn't engaged anymore! Why? What made him change his mind? Or perhaps it was Suzette that changed hers? And why did he decide to tell it to me now? Couldn't he keep it to himself? It only made me distracted! Nothing made sense, but I had to focus, the Revolution was here and now. If I did not get myself together, this could end badly, deadly even.
By the time we got downstairs and into the crowded turmoil outside the cafe, something in the air has changed. With the arrival of the informer and his promise that there won't be an attack tonight, everyone seemed to have stopped holding their breath. Maybe we could rest, maybe we could be ready by tomorrow. I myself felt relief as well.
Then, however when boys started scattering, I got to see the man's face from up close and the blood in my veins froze instantly. I would recognize that horrifying man anywhere. It was no one else than inspector Javert, staring at all of us with a cunning smile, thinking he got away with fooling all of us. But not me, oh no. I knew I had to shout and tell the boys about it but literally the second I was about to scream, someone has beaten me to it. It was little Gavroche.
"Liar!" His little shout spread around with an overpowering melody. I managed to catch Enjolras' eyes when the little boy was saying, "good evening dear inspector, lovely evening my dear!" All I could see in the blonde man's eyes was the sickening realization that he has made the biggest mistake of the revolution. Trusting the wrong kind of man. As if to confirm my words, Gavroche chimed in, "Don't trust this man, my friends! His name's Inspector Javert!"
What happened in the next couple of seconds was pure chaos. All of the boys threw themselves to stop the man, shouting, Enjolras giving orders. I just stood there in shock.
"What should we do with him?!" I think it was Jehan shouting.
"Kill the bastard!" Someone exclaimed.
"Shoot me now or shoot me later!" Javert shouted, "but beware! You will all die! You traitors!"
The boys grabbed him and proceeded to drag him inside the cafe, and I noticed that Gavroche wanted to follow, but instead of letting him join, I grabbed him by his tiny coat.
"Where do you think you're going?" I asked when he turned to look at me and I heard the struggles of a fist fight inside the cafe.
"I'm going to help, Victorie!" He grinned, "it was me! I did it! I noticed him!" He tried getting out of my steel grab once more, but I did not let him. Instead, I squatted to be on the level to look the boy in the eyes and held his arms tight.
