P.S. arosetosomeone STOP READING MY MIND BECAUSE ITS FREAKY (jk. I love you)
------I couldn't believe it, but I was standing on a small terrace on the top of the roof. The view from here was simply breathtaking. It didn't matter that it was late in the evening, because I could see all the Paris lights. The whole city was glowing from candlelight and drowning in shimmering moonlight at the same time. The copper rooftops seemed to be made out of gold, and the pavements shone like silver. The lights from the houses were misty in the reflection of the lazy waters of Seine. And the trees... I could have sworn they were full of starlight.
"Oh, Courfeyrac..." I sighed gazing at him.
"I told you it was worth it" he smiled cheekily at me, "I find the view from up here quite beautiful"
"Beautiful? That's beyond anything I've ever seen in my life! Beautiful doesn't describe it well enough" I exclaimed, "i would call it... stellar!"
"Stellar it is" he smiled, coming up closer to me and to the barriers, which were preventing us from falling down.
"Thank you for taking me up here" I said.
"I always knew you would love it, so I had to take the chance," he locked his eyes with mine. I realized that they too were full of starlight. An unknown force made me look down, was I blushing? No, I wasn't. It was just the Champagne, "Even if we're risking gossips about the intentions of our sneaking out" he chuckled.
"Now your mother will hate me even more" I joked, staring into the darkness. The night was quiet but I could hear the distant music that was escaping through the opened windows of the house, giving it a dreamy sound.
"After she thinks you've been sleeping with me, I'm sure she will" he chuckled.
"Oh I'm sure she will think that if she saw us leaving... If I was your mother I'd have a heart attack if I saw my son sneaking out with a girl which has no respectable last name, no noble blood and no money, but also I would have no doubts whatsoever about your intentions," I noticed.
"Good thing she didn't see us" he said,
"Can we be sure?" I asked, gazing at him.
"Yes, we can. Don't worry Vi, you're spoiling a very amiable moment with your worrying. Just be quieter" he insisted.
"My apologies, Fra" I giggled, and feeling myself shiver from the cold night air I grabbed his arm and pulled him closer, "come here" I mumbled and made him close me in his warm embrace.
"Better?" He whispered in my ear, almost giggling.
"Better" I affirmed, "it's cold out here"
"I'm sorry" he laughed, and rested his chin on my shoulder. If anyone saw us at this moment this they would take us for a pair of sweethearts. They couldn't be more wrong, I think.
"Nah, don't worry, I'm fine now" I said, "it's a fine party, I'm glad you convinced me to come"
"The convincing was awful" he chuckled.
"I quite enjoyed the convincing, if I am to be honest" I giggled.
"Of course you enjoyed it" he snorted, "I had to do all of the hard work of convincing you"
I turned my face too gaze upon his face, and raised an eyebrow seeing his exaggerated facial expression,
"Oh don't even try making me believe you didn't enjoy it!" I squinted at him.
