Vanessa's POV
"So did you like Mads and Lili?" Cami asked, sitting down next to me on the couch.
I nodded. "Yeah they're really nice!"
She smiled, but her expression quickly changed. "I want..to apologize. For what I said earlier..about Michael. You two are going through some things..so I'll stay out of it," she said. I smiled at her.
"It's fine Cami," I said. But, she shook her head.
"It isn't though. I was being an ass and-"
"No really it's fine," I laughed. Of course I was lying, but I didn't feel like talking about him right now.
"Are you sure?" she asked.
I nodded, forcing a smile.
"Okay..well I'm gonna order a pizza, be right back," she said standing up. I smiled at her, as she walked away. I sat there for a quiet moment until I felt my phone buzz in my back pocket.
Madelaine: hey!
I quickly replied back saying 'hi!'
Madelaine: wyd?
Me: nothing hbu?
Madelaine: just watching tv :)
Me: nice! btw i really enjoyed meeting you today!
Madelaine: same! between us tho, ur better than cami ;)
Me: lmao thanks haha
Madelaine: hey ik we just met, but we should hang out again soon!
Me: definitely! when r u free?
Madelaine: i'm free this thursday wbu
Me: i'm free! i'll ask cami if she wants to come
Madelaine: oh well i kinda wanted it to be just us cuz i wanted to get to know u, if u don't mind
My entire face turned into a tomato. I had to reread the text several times to myself. She wanted to hang out with me. Just me.
Me: oh ok sure!
Madelaine: so i kinda know where we should go :)
Me: lemme guess..veggie grill?
Madelaine: yeah! how'd u know?
Me: lucky guess lol lemme check in w cami first brb
Madelaine: ok
"Hey Cami," I called from the living room.
"Yes?" she yelled back from the kitchen.
"Um..Mads and I were gonna hang out on Thursday. Just wanted to let you know," I said.
"Okay cool!" she responded.
I texted Madelaine.
Me: k shes cool w it
Madelaine: yay! i'll pick u up at 12?
Me: sounds great!
"Oh by the way, I just ordered the pizza," Cami announced.
"Thank god. I'm starving," I sighed.
Madelaine: okay, well i gtg! i'll see u on thursday :)
Me: okay bye!
Madelaine: bye!
