Vanessa's POV

I woke up to the sound of birds chirping. I adjusted my eyes to the amount of light pouring into my room, as I sat up. I got out of bed, looking at myself in the mirror. I quickly realized how messy my hair looked and I brushed it. I folded the bed and walked into the kitchen. Cami was drinking coffee at the table, texting on her phone. She looked up at me and smiled.

"Good morning! How'd you sleep?" she asked.

I sat down and smiled. "Good. How about you?"

"Pretty good. Want some tea?" she asked, taking out a cup.

"Yes please," I yawned.

She handed me a cup of warm tea, as I sipped it.

"So there's this new coffee shop I wanna try..." she smiled at me.

"I'll get dressed and we can go," I laughed.

"Great! I'll go get in the shower, be right back," she said setting down her drink. I finished my tea and headed to my room. I pulled out my phone and plopped down on the bed. I scrolled through my feed, liking random things.

After Cami and I both finished, we got in her car and drove to this new coffee shop.

"Hey..so two of my friends were gonna meet us there. Is that okay?" she asked, as we drove.

"It's fine," I smiled. We pulled up to an empty parking spot and got out. As Cami pulled out her phone I noticed two girls running towards us from down the block, excitedly.

"Hey..um is that your friends?" I asked Cami. She looked up from her phone and saw the two girls. And before I could ask her anything else, she was in their arms, hugging them tightly. I stood there awkwardly as the three girls interacted. Cami then turned back to me smiling.

"Mads, Lili..this is Vanessa. Vanessa this is Lili and Mads," Cami introduced us. I shook the blonde girl's hand first.

"Hi!" she smiled.

"Hi!" I laughed. The blonde girl was wearing a t-shirt, skinny jeans, and carried a purse with her. Her short blonde hair bounced on her shoulders as she moved. I then turned my attention to the other girl named Mads.

My heart stopped.

Her long, red hair and beautiful face were captivating. Her eyes were fascinating and her pink lips looked soft and delicate. Her red hair covered part of her amazing face and her smile was stunning . She grinned at me and blinked. She was too perfect to be real. In other words, she was really hot.

"Um V? You good?" Cami asked, making me snap out of my trance. The three girls were staring at me blankly. I felt my face grow warm as I realized that I was probably staring for way too long.

"Hi!" Mads said laughing, extending her hand out. I shakily shook her hand, realizing how soft it was.

"Hi," I said quietly. She smiled at me. I let go of her hand and looked down, realizing how red I probably looked. And thank god Cami spoke up because the awkward silence was killing me.

"Coffee time!" she said, grabbing Lili's hand. I hung back slightly (still embarrassed), but Mads did the same as me. She smiled at me as we walked in, her holding the door for me.

I have never been this flustered in my entire life. Oh my god, someone help me please.
