The following morning, a cloudy Tuesday, Jose and Colby rushed inside the school from the parking lot before it started raining. Jose glanced over at his boyfriend who was pulling his hood off his head.

"Scared you'd get your lovely locks wet?" Jose teased.

Colby chuckled, sliding his hands into his jacket pockets. "My hair is beautiful. It's the eighth wonder if the world."

Jose looked at Colby bun containing his long black hair. Colby hadn't gotten a haircut lately, so the hair was now resting comfortably over his shoulders and on his lower back when he had it down.

"Stop staring at me." Colby mumbled, walking up to Jose's locker and opening it for him.

"I can't stare at you?" The Mexican boy wondered. "You're my boyfriend. If anyone can stare at you for long periods of time, it's me."

Colby glanced at him then shook his head laughing. "You're so gay it's not even funny."

"You're the gay one. You've been crushing on me since you laid eyes on me." Jose pointed out, throwing his book bag in his locker and grabbing his science book. "Or was that a lie to get in my pants."

"It was pretty easy to get in your pants, honestly." Colby admitted. "You're a bit of a slut."

Jose ignored Colby's comment and closed his locker. He leaned against it and looked up at the Armenian boy in front of him. Colby leaned against the lockers and crossed his arms, staring down at Jose with the same intimidating expression as Jose was giving him.

"This is kinda weird." Jose whispered.

Colby pushed himself up and walked off. "Told you. Now, come on small duckling before you can't keep up."

Jose rolled his eyes, but followed. "I'm, like, three inches shorter than you."

"But a worlds a difference." Colby teased, going off to his own locker. "Your little legs can barely keep up when we walk together. I don't need to lose you in the crowd."

"I fucking hate you." Jose growled, glaring at Colby.

"I love you too, babe." Colby laughed, wrapping his arm around Jose's shoulder and leaning on him.

A few hours later during one of the lunch mods, Stephen, Ethan, and Jacob were sitting at their lunch table eating. Clover, Jose, and Diego had went to another table to talk to a few of their former football teammates, leaving the three former.

"Do y'all know how long this bullshit investigation is suppose to last?" Ethan asked, shoving three nacho chips into his mouth.

Stephen shrugged. "I don't know. But I do know that Victor says they will soon stop doing work if they don't get paid soon." He turned towards Jacob while biting into his sandwich. "Why don't you talk your mom out of this?"

Jacob shook his head, chewing and swallowing his food. "Not an option. To talk to her, I'd have to stand to be around her. That woman literally lied to me about my entire life, my whole childhood. How would y'all feel about that?"

Ethan shrugged. "My mom never had a deep enough conversation with me to lie to me about my life." He admitted. "But hey, if you make up with her maybe she'll give you whatever you want. Spoil you like those white boys on tv."

Stephen snickered at Jacob's annoyed expression. "How about—"

He stopped mid-sentence seeing two girls walking up to their table. All three boys didn't speak a word seeing Macy and Hannah standing at the head of their table.
