Baseball Field Fights

The next morning like always, Diego was arriving to school with his best friends by his side. The boys hadn't left Diego's side since him and Mila got into it in the middle of the lunch room the other day.

"So..." Jacob trailed off, holding the door open for his friends, "you're gonna be a dad."

Diego scoffed, shoving his hands in his sweatpants pockets. "No, I'm not. I swear I didn't sleep with her. We didn't have sex."

Jose glanced at Diego then in front of him so he could see where he was going. "You sure? Maybe you just don't remember."

"I think that's illegal." Stephen frowned, biting into a breakfast burrito. "But, what're you gonna do?"

Diego sighed, following his friends to Ethan and Jose's lockers where they would stop first. "I just gotta talk to her, but she's ignoring me. Won't answer my texts, my calls, nothing."

"Well, if you didn't sleep with her," Jacob muttered, "then Hannah lied about who's the daddy."

"She done slept with so many people she don't even know who the daddy is." Ethan smirked, tossing his book bag into the locker and pulling a textbook out. "Who's gonna talk to her if she won't listen to you."

Diego shrugged, leaning against the locker bay. Jose closed his locker, thinking himself. "She'll only listen to someone who won't lie. So that's Ricky cause he thinks this whole thing is stupid, and Clover cause she'd never lie for us in that situation."

Diego whipped around, looking for the short African American girl. "Where the hell is Clover?!" He asked, tossing his hands up then letting them fall to his side. "Where'd she go?"

All the boys shrugged, mumbling their answers of them not knowing. Stephen finished off his burrito and balled up the wrapper in his hands.

"Why not have her talk to Mila? She's more likely to listen to a girl."

"We gotta find her for her to do it." Jacob pointed out, walking around Stephen and leading them to their next group of lockers to make a pit-stop.

Halfway through the day, Clover had been ignoring the boys all day so she didn't have to deal with their many problems they seemed to create nearly all day. She had actually been avoiding most people through out the day, but one person she wasn't was Danny.

Clover snuck into the athletic building, running past the offices so Mateo, Sam, Victor, and Ricky won't see her. She went straight into the trainer's room and to Danny's office.

"Hide me." She rushed out, jogging into his office.

Danny's head shot up, concerned on why she was suddenly appearing out of no where. "Why? What happened? What's wrong? Who you hiding from?"

"Everyone." She admitted, dropping her bag down on the floor behind his desk and leaning against the wall. "Mateo grounded me, but I went to my boyfriend's house last night and then to my mom's house without his permission. Now he's ready to rip my head off, only thing that kept him from doing it yesterday was Manny's daughter was sleeping. And on top of that, the boys want me to talk to Diego's girlfriend for them and they're blowing my phone up looking for me. And...and Ricky's on my ass to help him with the team, especially Baylor cause you know how Baylor is. I'm so tired, I need to relax. I feel like I'm the most wanted person in America."

Danny laughed, pushing his chair back so he could look at her. "Alright. You can chill in here." He allowed. "How'd you know I'd be in here?"

"I know when your lunch break is." She shrugged, standing up straight. "You use to always tell me when you had a lunch break so I could come visit you, since you have a crush on me."
