Wednesday morning, Ricky woke up like any other day with a shower and his usual morning routine. He grabbed an apple out the kitchen and had to mentally remind himself to buy groceries later after he finished the work he was doing today. Today was the day that he followed Diego's advice and apologized.
After getting in his Jeep and driving to the school, Ricky was surprised to see one of the many people he was looking for today. Baylor walking to school with his book bag in his hand.
Ricky pulled his Jeep over as Baylor was walking past. The elder rolled down his window to see Baylor staring at his phone as he walked.
"Hey!" Ricky called out, stopping Baylor in his tracks. "Need a ride?"
Baylor looked around to see if anyone was looking, but nodded and got in the Jeep. Ricky drove off so Baylor could get to school sooner since he was already ten minutes late.
"Heard you got fired." Baylor mumbled, staring out the window. "That sucks."
Ricky snickered, but nodded his head. "Yeah, I did. While we're talking, I wanted to apologize for what happened the other day. I didn't know y'all were—"
"It's fine." Baylor interrupted, looking over at Ricky who was staring at the road. "You ain't know. It is what it is. It ain't no biggie."
Ricky frowned, glancing at Baylor then out the windshield as he pulled into the school front parking lot. "Really? It was pretty...intense. It could've gone very badly. Elijah had a gun."
"He always does. He wasn't gonna shoot me with so many people standing right there." Baylor shrugged, taking off his seatbelt when Ricky parked the car outside the front doors. "I hope you get your job back so I can keep pissing you off every day." Baylor chuckled, hopping out the car. "Best of luck."
Ricky watched in amazement as Baylor got out the Jeep, closed the door behind him, and went off inside the school. Ricky shook his head while driving around the school to go to the athletic's parking lot where he use to park.
"He is something else." He whispered to himself.
Ricky waited a moment after he turned off the car to get his thoughts together. He was just hoping that Diego was right about this. This had to be the right choice.

Meanwhile, inside the athletic building none of the men were too focused on their work since it was one of the days where there wasn't much work to do since they'd already finished it all.
Sam, Victor, and Danny were sitting in the common area of the offices with one of the tables that they had for decorations playing cards. They were going to deal Mateo in when he got there, but when Mateo arrived he had brought Kiara with him so they sat in his office together.
Victor dropped his card down on the table with a laugh seeing Sam and Danny groan and lean back in their seats.
"You better be happy y'all ain't bet nothing on this cause y'all be broke instantly." Victor laughed. "How about you—"
Sam and Danny looked behind them when they saw Victor's smile fade and him stop mid-sentence. They all looked like they seen a ghost when Ricky walked into the room. He glanced at them and motioned to Mateo's office.
"He in there?" He asked.
Danny nodded his head slowly, surprised since they had already talked about that Ricky might not even show up anymore. And he surprised them all.
"Hey, boss man!" Victor called out, keeping his eyes on Ricky for a moment then dropped his eyes down.
Sam snickered, knowing that this was going to be an interesting morning again. "Someone's here to see you!"
