Saturday wasn't anything odd for the Dallas natives since they were wrapping up the end of their baseball practice with Ricky. Danny and Mateo had already left to go home a few minutes before, trusting Ricky to keep the players under control on his own.
Manny smiled widely as she stepped out the dugout that was filling up with people. She walked over to Ricky who was picking up some of the spare balls that were on the ground. When he stood up straight, Manny wrapped her arms around his waist.
"Hey." She whispered. "How long you gotta stay after practice?"
Ricky glanced back at her and smirked. "Until the last player leaves. Why? You got other plans?"
Manny walked around his body and hummed. She looked through Ricky's sunglasses to his eyes and smiled sweetly. "Wanna go get a late lunch? Bryce has Esmerelda for the night so I don't have any responsibilities for at least the next 12 hours."
Ricky smirked. He leaned down and pressed a kiss to Manny's forehead. "Okay. Just let me finish up."
He watched her move from in front of him, nodding as she did. Manny went off to Ricky's Jeep to wait for him, as she walked she passed Diego and Mila standing in the parking lot.
"Dinner?" Diego repeated after her.
"Yes. Dinner." Mila laughed, wrapping her arms around Diego's neck. "My parents want to meet who's been breaking my heart all this time."
Diego sighed, shaking his head. "Oh yeah. Cause they're gonna love me now knowing about my reputation."
Mila giggled, kissing Diego's cheek. "I'm joking. Only my brother knows. He's...kinda pissed, but he can get over it. I tell him that you're a good guy too and he can respect that but if he gives you a hard time. He's just...he's a nice guy. Muy protector." She smiled, mumbling the last part.
"Muy protector?" Diego scoffed. "Oh yeah cause this is going to be just a beautiful dinner. When is it?"
"Tuesday night good for you?" She wondered, admiring his features as she waited for his answer. Diego sighed heavily, staring down at his feet.
"Está bien. Estaré allí." He answered, instantly catching Mila when she jumped into his arms.
(It's okay. I'll be there.)Mila squealed as she jumped up and down in his arms. "Thank you so much!" She pulled away and gave him a big kiss. "You won't regret it. It'll be nice. Nice Cuban food and good vibes."
"I'm Latino." Diego scoffed, holding her hand as they walked off to his car. "I know all about good vibes. We invented good vibes."
Mila scoffed, letting go of his hand and getting in the car herself. "Okay." She said sarcastically.
Diego got in the driver's seat after he threw his bag into the backseat. He drove out of the parking with speed, being sure to dodge the people walking home after practice, four of them being Ethan, his girlfriend Christin, Baylor, and Clover.
Christin had to help one of the school clubs today, so she decide to take as long as she possibly could so she could walk Ethan back to the facility. They walked along with Clover and Baylor since they were going in the same direction as them because Clover had to get her baseball bat back from Baylor.
"So you date him even though he's in an addiction facility?" Baylor asked, slightly shocked by the concept. "You're one of a kind. Never met a girl who'd be willing to do that."
Christin shrugged, squeezing Ethan's hand. "It's not that bad. We spend quite a lot of time together and I visit him all the time." She smiled, looking up at Ethan, but he was in his own little world. Christin elbowed him making him snap his head up from staring at the ground.
