Monday morning before the sun was even up above the horizon, the Martinez household was in full rush mode. Mateo was getting ready for the countless meetings he had today, Kiara was getting ready for work as a event planner, Manny was feeding Esmerelda while also trying to cook some breakfast for herself, and Clover was doing the last minute adjustments to her outfit since she didn't want to be late when Diego arrived to drive her to school.

Clover rushed out the bathroom as she saw the time and knew Diego would be there any second. She grabbed all her bags she needed for the day and was rushing to the door when she heard someone calling her name from behind.

Clover whipped around to see Mateo walking up to her with his wallet in his hand. "What's up?" She asked rushed.

Mateo smirked at her frantic expression. "You've been doing well with your punishment and coming right home after doing what you need to do after school, so I decided to give you your pay for last week." He explained, handing her $25.

Clover took it and shoved it into her back pocket. "Thanks." She smiled softly, hearing the truck horn honk from outside. "That it? The boys are gonna kill me if we're late."

"Yeah." Mateo nodded, watching her open the door and ready to run outside. "You're still grounded. So be home right after school today. We're having a family dinner tonight too. Kiara's cooking."

"'kay." She yelled out, sprinting to Diego truck and into the open backdoor when Stephen threw it open for her. Mateo watched the truck speed off into the distance so they could probably create some last minute mischief before school started.

Meanwhile, Jessica and Mila were making their way inside school. They both were in their cheerleading uniforms since there was a basketball game tonight they had to cheer at.

Mila walked in front of Jessica as they walked into one of the locker bays to go to the Cuban girl's locker. Mila put in her combination only for her locker to be slammed closed before she could fully open it.

Mila groaned, looking to her left where she saw the girl who seemed to be everywhere nowadays. "What, Macy?" Mila sighed.

Macy glanced at Jessica for a moment then back to Mila. "I'm not going to the game tonight. I have some pre-appointed plans. Won't make it. So...y'all gotta change around the routine so you can make people care without my pretty face in the front row."

Jessica scoffed, leaning her shoulder against the lockers. "What? You sleeping with another football player?"

Mila giggled while Macy's eyes grew wide. She looked at Jessica shocked since she usually wouldn't speak like that, but she got her composure back quickly.

"Yeah. You're boyfriend." Macy answered, clicking her tongue at the end. "Speaking of which. Where are y'all claims to fame?"

Mila rolled her eyes, opening up her locker again. "I don't need my boyfriend to define me as a woman. Doesn't matter where he is. You wanted to talk to me, we talked, now walk."

Macy bumped shoulders with Mila as she walked pass. "Just make sure he's not sleeping around behind your back. Don't want you raising another woman's kid."

Mila ignored her, deciding to take the high road of just getting her books and walking away with Jessica in the opposite direction. Jessica sighed, playing with her floor length skirt as they made their way to where they usually hung out at before school started.

Hours later, school ended. The boring, tiring Monday was over. Sadly, for twenty high schoolers and Ricky, the day fully wasn't over yet. They were now forced to sit in the hot sun for the next two hours for baseball practice.
